In Baldur’s Gate 3, Dammon is a Tiefling merchant and blacksmith who can be encountered in all three Acts of the game, depending on the choices that you make.
However, as he is available in each Act, you will need to find him at a different location each time. Dammon is important for purchasing certain magical items, helping to fix Karlach’s Infernal Engine with Infernal Iron, and crafting special armors, among other things.
If you’re wondering where you can find Dammon in Baldur’s Gate 3, each of his in-game locations has been outlined in the guide below.
Where to Find Dammon in Baldur’s Gate 3 Act 1

Dammon can be encountered for the first time in Baldur’s Gate 3 at Emerald Grove. Much like the other Tieflings at this location, he is a refugee who has set up a temporary camp alongside the Druids.
Dammon can specifically be found operating a makeshift forge near the Emerald Grove prison, where Sazza is being kept. His exact location has been pinpointed on the map screenshot below.

At this stage of the game, Dammon’s primary uses are that of a merchant. Players can purchase several magical items for him that can be of use during their Act 1 quests.

However, upon conversing with Dammon, it is revealed that he has spent some time in Avernus working with Infernal machinery. Because of this, he is now an asset to Karlach’s personal quest. If you plan to see her quest through, you will need to ensure Dammon survives each Act of the game.
To get Dammon to survive Act 1, you must save the Tieflings from the Grove. This means that you can not convince them to pack up and take their chances, or to let the Druids throw them out. Instead, you will need to defeat the Goblin Camp and its leaders. After progressing past the Tiefling Party and moving on, Dammon will next be able to be found in Act 2.
Where to Find Dammon in Baldur’s Gate 3 Act 2

In Baldur’s Gate 3 Act 2, Dammon can be found at Last Light Inn within the Shadow-Cursed Lands. Specifically, he can be found within the stables on the property (also where the Strange Ox can be found again), using another makeshift forge.

Here, players can continue making progress towards Karlach’s personal quest with any check-ins they may need to run with Dammon. Additionally, players can also bring Dammon Infernal materials to have him craft them special items.
However, they will need to ensure that any crafted items have been acquired from him before entering the Shadowfell (Point of no return) within the Gauntlet of Shar. If you progress past this point, you will be locked out of acquiring the items.

Here is a complete list of every item that can be crafted by Dammon in Act 2:
Crafted from Devilfoil Masks:
- Orthon Explosives
Crafted from Infernal Iron or Infernal Alloy:
- Flawed Helldusk Helmet
- Flawed Helldusk Gloves
- Flawed Helldusk Armor
Note: If planning to progress Karlach’s quest, ensure you keep the Infernal Iron aside, and have Dammon craft the items from Infernal Alloy instead. To make sure you select Infernal Alloy, select the dialogue option that mentions finding the materials at Grymforge.

To ensure Dammon makes it to Act 3, you need to make sure Last Light Inn does not fall victim to the Shadow Curse. In order to make sure that those residing at Last Light Inn stay safe and sound, you will need to make the following choices in your gameplay:
- Do not let Marcus take Isobel. Instead, turn against him and fight by Last Light Inn’s side to kill him.
- Do not kill the Nightsong, or let Shadowheart kill the Nightsong. If she dies, then the Shadow Curse takes over the lands and kills those at Last Light Inn. Instead, turn against Balthazar and free the Nightsong. Doing so will also enable you to gain an ally in Aylin for the fight against Ketheric, and unlock bonus cutscenes and interactions between her and Isobel.

Lastly, Dammon can be found alive and well in Act 3. This time, he will be located at Forge of the Nine in Baldur’s Gate City. It can be found neighboring the Elfsong Tavern, where players can also encounter other familiar Tiefling faces from the Grove/Inn, Alfira and Lakrissa.

Dammon will also sell a small collection of new items in his catalog as of Act 3. Here is every new item available for purchase:
- Armor of Persistence
- Boots of Persistence
- Legacy of the Masters
- Unwanted Masterwork Scalemail

Lastly, it is important to keep Dammon alive until this point, as he can create armor for your now fully grown Owlbear cub as part of the Gather your Allies quest. Following this, the Owlbear will then join you in the final fight against the Elder Brain.
