After picking up the Armored Briefcase for the Falling Skies quest in Escape from Tarkov, you need to make a choice. You get to either keep the case to yourself and lie about it to Prapor or hand it over. The choices could conflict with what sort of quest path you get later on, so keep reading to know which choice is the best and the outcomes for each choice.
Option #1 – Give the Armored Case to Prapor

You will receive 1,000,000 Rubles from Prapor after completing the Falling Skies questline if you choose to return the armored case to him. This will simultaneously unlock the Ticket questline. Once you have the quest unlocked, you will automatically get Intelligence Center 1 early on. Mr. Kerman will contact you right after and voice his disapproval of your choice, adding that your chances of leaving Tarkov now are slim. Don’t fret about his warning, as he will eventually come around for the questline anyway.
Also, you will be introduced to the Lightkeeper, and speaking to him will unlock the Network Provider 1 questline, another crucial point in the game. This will make your gameplay much smoother, as you get to unlock all the necessary structures and quests very early. Plus, completing Lightkeeper’s questline will give you access to the armored case anyway, which you get to unlock at your Level 1 Workbench.
Option #2 – Keep the Armored Case

Holding on to the case will anger Prapor, and you will lose 0.3 Reputation with him. You will immediately gain access to Mr. Kerman and his questline while locking you out of accessing Prapor. Another choice to make here is whether you wish to hand over the case to Kerman or not, which will give you slightly different outcomes. If you continue to keep the case to yourself, Prapor will distrust you even further, and you might have to dish out a large sum of money to get out of Tarkov.
If you decide to side with Kerman and hand over the case to him, then you need to pay the Mechanic a certain amount of Bitcoin to continue the questline. Continue working with Mr. Kerman and Lightkeeper and complete their tasks to gain access to the Terminal, which helps you unlock the game’s ending. Regardless of keeping the case or handing it to Kerman, you will still get to unlock it yourself eventually.
If you choose to lie to Prapor at the beginning and tell him that you haven’t found the case, the options will still return to hand over the case or keep it.
Which Choice to Pick?
Handing over the case to Prapor is the best choice to get a straightforward story outcome. You will receive monetary rewards, and you get to claim the briefcase later in the game anyway. But if curiosity has gotten hold of you, then holding on to the briefcase will provide a different and more challenging story path ahead. You get to unlock the briefcase earlier, and this will open up new questlines and might bring you to the game’s ending much quicker.
