The upcoming major patch and expansion to Fallout 76, it’s twentieth update, is currently being tested in the Public Test Server; and players can log in to see how is that shaping up. The update is expected to hit the game sometime in September 2024.
Major Changes Introduced In Milepost Zero Update
The Milepost Zero update has the following additions –
- Mischief Night event makes a comeback in Rapidan Camp with Halloween themed rewards
- A new approach to Legendary Crafting where players will have more control over the Legendary Mods that go on the Legendary Items
- A new social update called Best Builds, which will allow players to visit and rate submitted C.A.M.P.s. by other players
- Combat Rebalance on damage over time for Fire and Poison – Fire will now have higher damage but a shorter duration, while Poison will have a longer duration and higher overall damage
- 2 new locations for Daily Ops; with events rotating every hour between Mischief Night and Daily Ops at Glassed Caverns and Atlantic City Community Center
- Several tweaks to combat, player weapons, perks and region bosses
How To Participate In PTS For Milepost Zero In Fallout 76
All players who have a copy of Fallout 76 can participate in the PTS for Milestone Zero by opening up the Steam library and installing ‘Fallout 76 Public Test Server’. Since this is all currently under testing, any progress made in the PTS will not carry over to the main game though.
