Blue Protocol: Star Resonance – Emblem Core Guide & How to Farm Void Residue

There is a new seasonal buff in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance called Emblems. The enemies also now have a special Void Corruption debuff on them. So, strengthening your Emblem Core while also farming Void Residue to defeat enemies becomes an important task this season. Here is a guide for you to do exactly that.

After reaching Level 50, continue to unlock and upgrade Emblems in-game to boost your character’s power and gain bonuses against Void enemies. Emblems are a key part of your character’s progression. You can view your current Emblem and its icon on your character’s armband. You can also choose to hide it if you want.

Once you reach level 50, you’ll be able to access the Emblems menu. Do note that the emblem progress will reset each season. There are 21 Emblem titles available, which are:

    • Novice I
    • Novice II
    • Novice III
    • Rookie I
    • Rookie II
    • Rookie III
    • Advanced Snatcher I
    • Advanced Snatcher II
    • Advanced Snatcher III
    • Advanced Snatcher IV
    • Advanced Snatcher V
    • Elite Vanquisher I
    • Elite Vanquisher II
    • Elite Vanquisher III
    • Elite Vanquisher IV
    • Elite Vanquisher V
    • Paragon Slayer I
    • Paragon Slayer II
    • Paragon Slayer III
    • Paragon Slayer IV
    • Paragon Slayer V
    • Eclipse Bounty Ace

As you level up your Emblem, you’ll gain extra buffs, making your character stronger in that season’s challenges. But upgrading an Emblem involves improving two things: Emblem Nodes and the Emblem Core.

To level up your Emblem Nodes, you’ll need materials that drop as you play through the season. There are three types of Emblem Nodes available, namely, Void Residue (grants 100 XP), Void Aura (grants 500 XP), and Void Prism (grants 4,500 XP). We have detailed how to farm Void Residue below in the article. These materials boost your Emblem Node level and bring you closer to unlocking your Core.

Once your Emblem Nodes reach level 30, you’ll unlock your first Emblem Core effect. From here, you can start collecting materials to power up the Core. These can be earned during seasonal activities, bought in the Season Shop, or looted from enemies.

As your Emblem Core levels up, you unlock three passive skills: one at Level 20, another at Level 35, and the third at Level 70. You can choose which Core Effects to equip in your available slots. Here are the possible Emblem Core Effects you can unlock:

    • Void Aura
    • Dark Corruption Backtrack
    • Void Corruption Pulse
    • Void Corruption Arcane
    • Void Corruption Power
    • Void Shield
    • Void Engram Mystery

In short, Emblems are your key to gaining seasonal power boosts, protecting your character, and unlocking unique effects as you progress this season. And farming Void Residue becomes a major task this season. But there is a simple way to do that.

Join 20-man world boss crusade parties in Ruins of Andra City in Asteria Plains to auto-farm void enemies with purple orbs and get Void Residue. This is currently the only way to farm Void Residue.

Look for or create 20-man parties focused on Void farming. These are often active throughout the day. Head to the Ruins of Andra City in Asteria Plains, where the farming takes place, and simply let your character auto-battle while your PC or phone stays on. For better results, try to use the best Imagines from the tank class, better suited for a large group of enemies, like the Tempest Ogre or Iron Fang.

This was everything you needed to know about the Emblem Core and how to farm Void Residue. For more Blue Protocol: Star Resonance guides, check out All 11 Photo Album Locations and How To Unlock Your Own Homestead.
