How to Unlock The Complex Root in Borderlands 4
The quickest, surefire method of getting Complex Root in Borderlands 4 is through farming the Mimicron boss. Once you defeat the boss in the Tipping Point Order bunker in Idolator’s Noose region, you have a chance to get the sniper as a drop, just like how you get rewards after defeating bosses like Idolator Sol and The Ripper Queen. This bunker becomes available after you finish the “One Fell Swoop” main mission.
To reach the Tipping Point Order bunker, refer to the map above. You have to arrive at the Fadefields region of Idolator’s Noose and progress quite a bit. Then, arrive at the bunker, and crack open the door to enter and finish this bunker, rewarding yourself with Complex Root, one of the strongest weapons in-game.
Later, you can use Encore Machine to respawn the Mimicron and keep fighting it to farm the boss, in the hopes that you receive Complex Root from repeated farming. Keep in mind, however, that since weapon drops in Borderlands 4 are RNG-based, you might fall into a situation where the game doesn’t give you the gun.
