For your quest to unlock Aurora, you have to go through several other quests within the new Storybook Vale update. The longest and most confusing quest right now is the Ink Stained World quest. For this, you need to complete a couple of trials, which can be a bit time consuming. This guide will cover how to complete the Ink Stained World quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How To Complete the Ink Stained World Quest

This quest is the next one following the Hero of Ink and Paper quest. After crafting your new armor, you can interact with the tapestry within the Library of Lore to enter Storybook World. Over here, you need to make your way towards the room with the three stained glass windows that showcase the three good fairies from the Sleeping Beauty story.
Interacting with the paintings will have the fairies explain that there are three trials to complete before you can meet Aurora. Let’s take a look at each of the trails below.
Trial of Virtue Guide

Merryweather will give you the Trail of Virtue once you speak to her. For the trail, you need to help a dragon and knight locate the missing flame for the dragon and arm for the knight. The flame is located on the far right side of the room, right near the corner. It is hidden near the boxes, and you need to clear out the black ink to get to it.

Place the flame on the dragon, then head over to the bookcase on the left side of the room. Interact with it to find a secret room behind it, and inside the room, on the floor, is the missing arm. Pick it up and place the arm back on the knight to complete the puzzle, but the trial isn’t done yet.

Head into Furniture mode and move the knight towards the shield and the dragon right behind the shield. You can refer to the picture above to know where the placement goes. After this, collect the Shield of Virtue and return to Merryweather to complete the trail and hand over the shield.
Trail of Truth Guide

Head back to the middle room to find another passage that leads to Fauna. Speak to her to start the Trail of Truth. This trail is similar to the dragon and knight, but you don’t need to find any extra pieces. Rather, head into Furniture mode and start moving the movable pieces of the puzzle. Place the two parts of the cage around the bird on the right, then move the Mickey ears towards the lion on the left and put it behind its head.

After that, head into the room on the left and interact with the altar on the left and right side of the room. There is a note to read here, which details that you need to make a dish for a rabbit and a Pegasus. There are also instructions telling you not to include certain ingredients. With that in mind, head over to the long table in the middle of the room to start picking your ingredients, then head over to the cooking station to create your dish.
- The ingredients you need to pick for the rabbit are: lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and a carrot.
- As for the Pegasus, you need to pick the following ingredients: wheat, carrot, and barley.
With this, you can create the Carrot Salad for the rabbit, and the Barley Salad for the Pegasus. Head back to the stage where the lion and bird puzzle was and interact with the tiny rabbit and Pegasus on the stage. Feed them the respective dishes to complete the trail and pick up the Sword of Truth. Return to Fauna and hand over the sword to her to start the final trail.
Trail of Song Guide

Find Flora in the Grand Ballroom and speak to her to start the final trail. For this one, you need to move the instruments on the stage so that their shadows align with the hints given. You can read the hints on the altars placed in front of the stage and up the stairs. Head into Furniture mode so you can move the objects around to their respective places. You can refer to the image above to know where each item goes.

Once you are done, collect the Cap of Song near the stage and return to Flora. She will tell you to meet all the three good fairies back at the first meeting spot. Over here, you can speak to them and collect the items that you had handed over to them previously, which is the sword, shield, and cap. You are now ready to meet Aurora, and she will appear in the room where the fairies tell you to go.
Speak to her to start the next quest called the Tales that Bind, which is the final quest before you can unlock Aurora. The questline is pretty simple, which starts off by speaking to the Lorekeeper to help them capture Snippets. Then, head over to Storybook Vale and complete the rest of the objectives. Soon, you will reach the end credits, and Aurora will be unlocked for good. Don’t forget to place her house in your Valley so you can visit her anytime.
