Fields of Mistria has a massive new second update, and in it you can find tons of new features like new quests and new companions to romance. One of the most sought-after features that players were looking forward to is to change the length of the day to include shorter or longer days in the game. That feature has now been implemented in the v0.13.0 update, and we will give you a quick rundown on how to change day length in Fields of Mistria.
Fields Of Mistria: How To Change Daytime Length

Do the following to change day length in Fields of Mistria:
- Load your saved game from the Main Menu.
- Hit the pause button and select the Settings icon from the menu.
- Click on the drop-down menu on the left and select the Accessibility option.
- The first option on top will show the Day Time Speed.
- You can then select this option to change the length of the day, making it either Standard, Longer, or Longest.
- Changing the day length can interfere with your quests and certain NPC interactions, so do keep that in mind while trying to change it.
- To make changes to your day speed, after setting your preferred daytime length, make your character sleep in its bed to start a new day.
- You can always revert back to the previous day speed or change it to something else by following the same process above.
Day Length Conversion and Differences

If you are wondering how much time passes as you change the day’s speed, we have placed the indicators below.
Day Length | Game Time | Real Time |
Standard | 10 minutes, 30 seconds | 5 seconds |
Longer | 11 minutes | 6 seconds |
Longest | 12 minutes | 7.5 seconds |
You can use this as a default time frame to figure out how much a full day takes in real time, but the difference isn’t very substantial. There is a slight difference to when the day ends, with the shortest day ending at 12:43 AM and the longest day ending at 1:48 AM, so that’s just a 1 minute 30 seconds delay in real time. Changing the length of the day is a great way to get your tasks done when you feel that the time given is not enough. But you also need to calculate the time taken in your quests and adjust accordingly.
