Tides Of Annhiliation, New Single-Player Action Game Announced In State Of Play 2025

Eclipse Glow Games just unveiled the trailer for their new narrative-driven single-player action game titled Tides of Annihilation. The game combines flashy combat with a unique storyline that takes place in modern-day London invaded by aliens from another realm.

    • The team behind Eclipse Glow Games comes from other AAA studios. The devs have worked on titles such as Assassin’s Creed, Yakuza, Persona, Prince of Persia, and For Honor.
    • The game will take place in two different iterations of the same world: Modern London and Medieval Fantasy Realm.
    • The game’s narrative will focus on the themes of courage, loyalty, and heroism. The game is heavily inspired by Arthurian Legends.
    • The game will make the most of the PS5 Pro’s GPU power and PSSR technology.
    • In terms of gameplay, it is said to “test the mettle of true gamers and push the genre forward“. It will be a fairly challenging experience for newcomers and veterans in the hack-and-slash genre.

Here’s what the team had to say about the tone of their new game:

Our game world reimagines London as a sprawling battleground where modern ruins coexist with echoes of a medieval past. Imagine the city as a giant tree, its branches representing iconic districts and landmarks—each twisted and transformed by the otherworldly invaders.

The game promises to launch with 60 Fps gameplay on the PS5 Pro with higher image fidelity and an option for Ray Tracing. The art design of Tides of Annihilation is visually breathtaking, which is impressive coming from a brand-new studio. The game trailer is catching a lot of buzz from graphic enthusiasts for its unique blend of medieval fantasy with modern-day visuals.

Tides of Annihilation is not an exclusive title tied only to PlayStation, the game is also heading to Xbox and PC platforms: Steam and Epic Games.
