Bandai Namco announced a series of additions to Tekken 8 which run the range of combat tweaks, photo mode addition, new addition to the roster of playable characters and a new story chapter
Starting off first with the newest addition to the roster; we have Lidia Sobieska – who was first seen in Tekken 7 Season 4 Pass. The character appeared in the DLC as the Prime Minister of Poland – who entered politics after the loss of her father, and entered the King of Iron Fist Tournament after Mishima Zaibatsu refused to withdraw the Tekken Force stationed in her country.

Next is the addition of a new stage – the Seaside Resort; which will take players to the beach to take each other on at different times during the day – and night. The set of additions also includes a Photo Mode which allows the players to capture screenshots as well as play around with neat effects

The trailer also pointed a new chapter to the main story to release in Autumn, Online Practice and Ghost vs Ghost modes, as well as a Battle Balance patch.
Tekken 8 was released on Jan 25 this year for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series S/X to great reviews with the game scoring a 90 score on Metacritic, and success with sales of 2 million within three weeks of launch. The above additions all look to be great and substantial ones which are sure to be lapped up by fans of the game and the genre.
Update: Since Lidia, the game has seen Heihachi join the list of playable characters in Oct24, Clive in Dec24, Anna Williams from Tekken 5 in Feb25, and Fahkumram, Armor King II and Miary Zo rounding off the character roster as part of Season 2 pass.
The game has continued to rake up sales, and crossed the 3 million units sold milestone by Feb25. In addition to this commercial success, Tekken 8 also bagged the Best Fighting Game of the Year award at the 28th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards and The Game Awards.
