Indiana Jones and the Great Circle gets an ESRB Rating, confirming a recent PS5 release. The game was confirmed to arrive on PlayStation 5 last summer. Many fans were excited to hear the news, and the speculation quickly began on the release date.
X user Wario64 tweeted the ESRB rating confirmation for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle for PlayStation 5. The rating for the game was set to Teen for depicting gore, blood, minor drug references, mild language, and violence.
The rating board portrays the game’s tone as:
“From a first-person perspective, players explore various locations (e.g., catacombs, tombs, ruins) while solving puzzles and engaging in hand-to-hand combat against enemy soldiers. Players can perform stealth attacks and whip attacks to take out enemies discreetly. Players can occasionally use rifles, machine guns, and objects (e.g., shovels, brooms) to kill enemies. Combat is accompanied by impact sounds, realistic gunfire, and small blood-splatter effects.“
“The text in the game briefly references drugs (e.g., “I tried morphine; but the drug has given only transient surcease”; “Do not think from my slavery to morphine that I am a weakling…”). The words “a*s,” “bastard,” and “p*ss” are heard in the game.“
Indiana Jones was released on Xbox and PC back in December of 2024. Entertainment Software Rating Board or ESRB rating for the game confirms the game might drop sooner than we initially thought. But we still don’t have any details on the specific release date for the game on PlayStation 5.
Indiana Jones was a massive success, sitting very positive on Steam and holding a favorable 86 Meta score with an 8.3 user score. Critics and fans praised the game for its unique storytelling, intricate puzzle design, and gripping storyline making it stand out compared to its contemporaries.
