Hades 2 has been making some real big waves since it was surprisingly launched into early access on May 6th. Gamers have been flocking to get a look at how the game is shaping up, with a record active player count on Steam – in fact the game beat the peak player count that Hades had, within days of being launched into early access.
And it looks like all the feedback and the way gamers have been experiencing this tough as nails rogue-like have all been noted by the developer, and they have announced that the first patch for the game is work in progress and should be out sometime later this month, though an exact date has not been confirmed.
Supergiant Games have given a fair hint of what is probably going to be a part of the patch – specifically looking at making the process of resource gathering smoother and less hassle-free, like removing the need to have brought along the right tool to enable a certain resource to be picked. Another area of work looks to be making it easier for Melinoe to move around, improve upon the sprint and dash; and interaction with various elements – be it resources, or characters.
While balance changes is something that the developers have promised, they have cautioned that currently the process of data collection is still on, and so the upcoming patch may not see too much action on this front.
All in all, it looks like the developer is fully focused – which is good to see that the developers are not getting carried away on the initial response but looking to provide a complete gaming experience that they have planned for Hades 2.
