ARC Raiders: 8 Best Grenades, Ranked

ARC Raiders launched to some rousing success, but that hasn’t stopped the team from trying to keep the game evolving. With the new Cold Snap update, some aspects have changed, but others remain unchanged.

One thing that is still the same is grenades for the most part. There are 15 in total grenades, if we only count things listed in that category.

This list won’t include throwables, so no ARC items. Each entry is focused on a few requirements, like usefulness, damage, and craftability.

    8

    Blaze Grenade

    Stack Size5
    Damage5/s
    Duration10
    Radius10m
    CraftingExplosive Compound x1, Oil x2

The Blaze Grenade is a decent grenade for most encounters. While it doesn’t do a crazy amount of damage, it has some applications that can turn the tide in any fight.

You can use this grenade to block a doorway or push an enemy out from cover. They’ll be forced to dodge roll the flames off and give you an opportunity to strike.

Against ARC, especially the larger ones, it can be a great way to get off some damage without needing to peek from cover. While it’s a good grenade with a cheap cost to craft, there are still better options out there.

    7

    Snap Blast Grenade

    Stack Size3
    Damage70
    Radius7.5m
    CraftingCrude Explosives x2, Magnet x1

The Snap Blast Grenade is one that almost every ARC Raiders player is familiar with since you can craft them so easily, and it comes with the upgraded Explosives Station. It’s a really great starter grenade for any raids topside.

It can be used to flush out enemies, but when timed well, it can do a significant chunk of damage. It’s a little obvious, but it can still be pretty effective while closing the distance.

When facing some ARC, it’s a great tool to get some damage off before ducking back behind cover. You can use it to blow off the limbs of some of the more annoying ARC, like the Leaper or Bastion.

    6

    Seeker Grenade

    Locked On Target

    Stack Size5
    Damage50
    Homing Range20m
CraftingCrude Explosives x1, ARC Alloy x2

Every grenade in ARC Raiders has its use; the Seeker Grenade is specifically for targeting ARC. While this limits its overall uses, it makes for a great grenade to spam to take out ARC quickly.

It will destroy flying ARC right away, most often, and does some decent damage to the larger ARC.

It definitely isn’t the best grenade, but it can be used to deal with any pesky ARC flying around that may give away your position.

    5

    Heavy Fuse Grenade

    Heavy and Hard Hitting

    Stack Size3
    Damage80
    Radius7.5m
    CraftingExplosive Compound x1, Canister x2

This grenade is usually thought of as one of the best, and it certainly is, but it lacks some power compared to some other grenades. It has some of the highest damage, but with the timer, it can be difficult to guarantee getting damage off.

It works much better at blowing the legs off powerful ARC and gets them low enough so you can finish them with some shots. Most often, throwing a stack of these that make contact will do plenty of damage to start the engagement.

Against other players, it might be less effective, although if you’re indoors, it becomes a very dangerous tool. In team fights, you can usually get at least one other player down from throwing a few of these out.

    4

    Showstopper

    Electrical Troubles

    Stack Size5
    ARC Stun10s
    Raider Stun2s
    Radius6m
CraftingAdvanced Electrical Components x1, Voltage Converter x1

A Showstopper can be a great way to get the advantage in a fight against ARC or Raiders. It doesn’t do any damage, but being able to put a stop to everything an enemy can do is incredibly strong.

When facing off against a large ARC, you can use this on its main body to give yourself either time to escape or time to do damage. Taking this grenade against the toughest enemies, like the Queen, is a great idea.

For other players, it can be an excellent way to give you time to heal or close the distance. It’s also relatively easy to craft since Voltage Converters are a fairly common find.

    3

    Smoke Grenade

    Hidden From Sight

    Stack Size5
    Duration20s
    Radius7.5m
    CraftingChemicals x14, Container x1

The Smoke Grenade is wildly underappreciated by most players. It doesn’t do damage, and it doesn’t do more than create a cloud of smoke. It’s arguably the easiest grenade on this list to craft, and that’s part of its charm.

You can use the Smoke Grenade to give you a chance to get away or set up an ambush and wait for enemies to push you. It’ll last long enough to heal up most any injury, and with some spare time to hide.

Chucking it at people can give you a chance to approach without having to worry too much about being seen. That said, it won’t guarantee you get the drop on someone, so always come prepared.

    2

    Wolfpack

    ARC Apex Predator

    Stack Size1
    Damage166×12
    Radius100m
CraftingExplosive Compound x3, ARC Motion Core x2

Arguably the best grenade in the game for taking out ARC enemies, especially the toughest of them. When combined with the best guns, like the Tempest, you can take care of just about any enemy that comes across your path.

It launches 12 small missiles that target any ARC in the area. It’s effectively useless against players, but using a few of these against a Rocketeer will bring it crashing to the ground in no time.

The only reason the Wolfpack isn’t the best is that it only has a specific use. That makes it worthless in half of the fights you’ll take on, and even when it is useful, there’s no way to determine how many rockets will target which ARC enemies.

    1

    Trigger ‘Nade

    Blow Them Away

    Image via TheGameSlayer
    Stack Size3
    Damage90
    Radius7.5m
    CraftingCrude Explosives x2, Processor x1

By far the best grenade for almost any scenario in the game. It’s easy to craft, and it’s a blueprint that’s available in a quest, so everyone can get access to it easily.

Need to make a trap? Toss a few on a doorway and blow them when someone comes by. Need a quick explosive with no downtime? Chuck it and hit the button immediately. There really isn’t much this grenade can’t do.

Whether it’s ARC or other players, very few can stand against an onslaught of these grenades. If you need something easy that won’t let you down in any scenario, the Trigger ‘Nade will always be your best friend.

Even a game as good as ARC Raiders can get a bit annoying after some failed attempts, so maybe you need a break with some games like Hollow Knight: Silksong. It can always be a good idea to take a break rather than literally rage against the machines.
