With every new expansion in World of Warcraft, there’s a new city that acts as the main hub for players. Midnight is no different, but the Silvermoon portals can be tricky to find with the city’s new multi-level design. Once you know where the portal room is, it becomes quite easy to find the next time you need it.
With the focus on the Sunwell, Silvermoon City is the natural pick for the hub in Midnight. The city has been revamped to include all the features you need in the game, such as profession trainers, a bank, and an auction house. It also features a new portal room with portals to both Orgrimmar and Stormwind, which makes it easy to travel across Azeroth.
WoW Midnight – Silvermoon Portal Room

I find that the best way to navigate to the new portal room is to start by the flight path. The flight master is on a bridge that goes to the center of Silvermoon, where you’ll go to speak with Lor’themar frequently for the main campaign.
However, if you stand by the flight master, you can go the opposite way on the bridge away from the center where Lor’themar is, then turn left and end up going right into the portal room for Silvermoon.
On the map, the portal room is just slightly northeast of the flight path. The problem with using only the map is that the portal room is not on the ground level, and there are no stairs in the areas below it that take you up to the room. As a result, you end up just wandering in circles trying to find the room based on the minimap telling you if it’s higher or lower than your current location, which is exactly what happened to me.

WoW Midnight – Portal Training

The portal room features the trainer you need to speak with if you’re playing a mage so you can learn how to teleport and create portals to the new Silvermoon City. You can learn the teleport version at Level 82, but the portal version isn’t available until Level 88.
You still have the old teleport to Silvermoon City, and it takes you to the old version of the city from Burning Crusade. So, it doesn’t work like the traveling cheat that I had hoped it might be when I tried it out, meaning mages have to level and train before we can get to the new Silvermoon from anywhere we want in WoW Midnight.
