WoW Midnight – How to Complete Healing Homeward

Healing Homeward is a side quest that you’ll have to do if you want to complete the Loremaster achievement, one of many new achievements you can get, for WoW Midnight. Unfortunately, a number of players—myself included—have run into bugs regarding the end of this quest.

Healing Homeward is the final quest in a chain found in Zul’Aman, which you can access after you visit the location with Arator. You head back to Silvermoon City, and then you can use the Scouting Map to pick where you want to quest next. Zul’Aman is one of the three options you have here.

Once you hit at least Level 83, you can pick up a quest called, “A Quiet Walk Interrupted” from Nerunda in Witherbark Bluffs. You’ll find her in a hut, and she asks you to find her daughter so that you can ask her to return home. The quests then go in this order:

    • A Quiet Walk Interrupted
    • Childlike Devotion
    • Shrine Preparations
    • Temple and a Teapot
    • Healing Homeward

For the most part, the quests are talking to NPCs, killing a few enemies, and then a fetch quest. They’re straightforward and quick to get through. The problem comes when you reach the end, as it’s bugged in a way that prevents you from turning in the quest.

The problem is that when you return to Nerunda at the end of the quest, she’s not at the little hut you first met her in, despite the question mark properly appearing there on your map as the spot where you turn in Healing Homeward.

Inside the hut, you only see the father of Nerunda, when both Nerunda and Kanza should be present at this point. I saw multiple other players coming in and out of the hut while I was there, clearly searching for Nerunda so they can turn in Healing Homeward as well.

While the best option would be for Blizzard to fix this bug so the quest works properly, there are other solutions that players have seen success with. These include:

    • Finishing the dungeons and delves in Zul’Aman
    • Getting a friend on another server to invite you to a party so you phase onto their server
    • Entering War Mode

If you can, these options are worth trying. Otherwise, you won’t have a choice except to wait for an official fix from Blizzard. In the meantime, this quest is optional, although it’s required for the Loremaster achievement. Because of that, you can continue leveling and exploring other content, such as collecting treasures, as you wait to turn in Healing Homeward in WoW Midnight.
