Where Winds Meet – Heavenly Market Hexagram Puzzle Guide

Where Winds Meet has its fair share of puzzles, but the one in the “An Unnatural Omen” Lost Chapter definitely caught me off guard. I thought solving the Tattered Eight Trigrams Puzzle earlier in the quest was the main challenge, but things got a bit more involved once I reached the three treasure doors.

Each door had its own Hexagram puzzle to work through, and the first one—the Heavenly Market—took me a moment to figure out. On top of that, there’s an additional constellation puzzle inside the treasure room, which makes this section feel a bit longer than expected.

If you’re stuck in the same spot, this guide walks you through how to solve the Heavenly Market Hexagram puzzle in Where Winds Meet.

As part of the An Unnatural Omen Lost Chapter Quest, you are required to solve puzzles to unlock three treasure rooms. The first room to activate is the Heavenly Market, which requires solving a Hexagram puzzle. First, you need to find the Heavenly Market door. To do so, just look around the area for a door that has a word etched on it. It will emit a bright blue glow.

Once you find it, take a look at the circular image of an animal on top of the door. Cross-check the animal image with the Tattered Four Symbols Chart given to you by Jin Zhongyuan. The first door will have the White Tiger depicted on it. Your next task is to make your way to the center of the room, where Jin Zhongyuan is. Interact with the North Star Bagua Platform to rotate the ceiling.

Rotate the ceiling until the White Tiger is aligned right over the pointed end of the door. If done correctly, the White Tiger image on the door will start to glow too, giving you access to the constellation puzzle within.

Interact with the North Star Bagua Platform inside this room to start the puzzle. There are four disks that depict broken sections of a constellation, and your goal here is to rotate the three movable wheels to align all the dots to form a completed constellation.

The puzzle itself is pretty simple; keep an eye on the dots on the extreme outer wheel and rotate the wheel adjacent to it to continue the formation. Repeat the steps for the other rotating wheels too. Each time you make a correct rotation, the dots on the wheel will start to glow. You can check out the image above as a reference.

Completing the puzzle will illuminate the entire thing, which reveals a short cutscene. You have to make a choice here: Regret or Do not Regret. It doesn’t matter what you pick, as you will get just slight dialog changes for each option.

At the end of it, you will receive the North Star Orb: Heavenly Market, which you can hand over to Jin Zhongyuan and complete this part of the quest.
