If you are stuck in the Prevention quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC, you’ve come to the right place. While at first this quest looks like an easy one, collecting all the items is where the main challenges arise. We have prepared a step-by-step guide for you to obtain all the required items for this quest, starting with the rope.
How to find Rope in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

From the Sedletz Monastery, head north to the church, and you’ll find the rope next to a hole in the ground with construction going around it. Do note that there will be two workers there to cause hindrance. Throw rocks at them to lure them away, and then quickly grab the rope.
The rope can also be found in the western region of the map, near the monastery chapel. There, search the construction area situated just south of the chapel’s main entrance. The rope will be lying on the ground next to a barrel close to the parked cart.
However, the area is patrolled by guards, so it’s best to sneak in quietly and avoid being spotted while collecting it. It also makes the rope near the church more easier option out of the two. But just getting the rope does not end the Prevention quest. Below, we have mentioned how you can get the other required items for this quest.
How To Find Leather, Mint, and Sage

From the church, travel north and look for a white tent set up along the roadside to find leather. Inside it, you’ll spot an easy-difficulty chest situated across from the stable entrance where you previously met Steward Zdenyek. Open it to collect cow skin, which can be used as leather.
Alternatively, you can head to a construction site located west of the map, near the monastery chapel. You’ll find a table with the Pig Skin placed on top in the northern side of the work area. However, this area is also filled with guards so going for the first option is better.
Getting mint and sage is the easy part here. You just need to head over to the Woodland garden in the south-east of the Sedletz Monastery. In the garden, you’ll find sage (purple flowers) at the north edge of the garden, and mint (small green leaves) at the south edge of the garden. Collect four each to proceed in the Prevention quest.

You’ll also need one Valerian and three Camomile for this quest, all of which can be found in the Woodland garden in the eastern part. It is advised to collect more than the required numbers to account for errors in using them while crafting. Once you have all these ingredients, you need to craft an aromatic oil.
How To Brew Aromatic Oil

Find the recipe for aromatic oil in the library and then go to the alchemy bench in the infirmary to brew it. The recipe for the oil is present in the book on the southwest edge of the library.
Next, go through the door present south of the infirmary containing materials to brew the oil. Inside, craft the oil using one Valerian, three Camomile, and one Sage. The exact steps to complete the oil are listed below:
- Take the oil from the top left shelf, the third jar from the left, and add it to the cauldron.
- Add three chamomile flowers to the cauldron.
- Boil the mixture for three turns.
- Put the sage in the mortar and grind it with the pestle.
- Add the ground sage to the cauldron.
- Boil for one more turn by lowering the cauldron
- Grind the Valerian in the mortar and add it to the cauldron.
- Take a phial from the bottom left shelf and pour the finished mixture into it.
Upon completing this successfully, you’ll gain Fragrant Oil in your inventory. Now, to complete the Prevention quest, you need to make a plague outfit for yourself using the Fragrant Oil and the rest of the items collected earlier.
How To Craft The Plague Mask

To craft the Plague Mask, you need to put one Cow Skin (Leather), one Fragrant Oil, one Flax Rope, and eight Mint or Sage on the table next to the alchemy bench in the infirmary. If you have all these items in your inventory, the button to make a Plague Mask will automatically pop up when you turn towards the table next to the alchemy bench.
Completing the Plague Mask will complete the Prevention quest, granting you the Better Safe Than Sorry achievement. If you are interested in more Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 guides, check out Source of Inspiration Quest and Madman’s Longsword Location.
