As you make your way through the Brushes With Death DLC in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, you will find tons of new gear and achievements to collect in the game. There is a new Madman’s Longsword to collect within the DLC, and this guide will show you where to get it in KCD 2.
How To Get The Madman’s Longsword In KCD 2

You get the Madman Longsword as part of the quest ‘ Man Proposes’. For this quest, speak to Voyta in Trosky Castle, and he will send you out to a dugout to meet Libor, a madman. Follow the quest marker to find him and speak to him.
Meeting him will result in a duel initially, and you can either fight him or surrender. He will tell you that he knows you have come for the sword, but Henry will act confused since this wasn’t part of the plan. When the dialog options appear, accept the broken sword and make your way to the smithy immediately. You have to repair the sword before the quest ends, so keep this as your priority for now. You will require the following items to craft it:
- 1x Fastening material
- 3x Frankfurt steel
After this, you can keep the newly repaired Madman Longsword, or return to Libor for a unique achievement.
Curiosity Killed The Cat Trophy/Achievement

Return to Libor after repairing the sword and speak to him. After the initial dialog, select the option that says you wish to return the now fixed sword to him. Libor will refuse the offer, but keep persisting with him to keep the sword using hard speech. If you change your mind and wish to keep the sword, now will be a good time to back out and agree to keep it.
But for the achievement, you have to force Libor to take the sword. He will reluctantly agree, and the quest will end. To know how Libor is dealing with his new sword, you can head back to his location at a later time, but you will be met with upsetting news. The achievement will unlock right after that and will be added to your collection. You can also lockpick the chest in his hut to get the Madman’s Longsword back.
