In your quest to grind for power, you will be on a lookout for dungeons to clear and new bosses to fight. It is highly worth it to check out all end-game dungeons not just for loot farming but also to up your gear and equipment. Once you reach level 50, you can take your shot at completing the Tier 2 Co-Op dungeon (Dimensional Circle ++) called Island of Terror. This dungeon is unlike any other dungeon that you would have encountered before, as you need to fight three mini-bosses before you can get to the final boss.
With four bosses in tow, you might have a super hard time trying to navigate the dungeon efficiently. Luckily, this guide covers everything there is to know about the Island of Terror in Throne and Liberty.
Island Of Terror Dungeon Guide In Throne And Liberty
You first have to activate the Reptilian Braziers after stepping foot inside the Island of Terror in Throne and Liberty. They are located quite close to the entrance, you can’t miss it. Doing so will unlock the first mini-boss, the Infuriated Reptilian Butcher.
Infuriated Reptilian Butcher
This is a fairly simple fight and can be completed with a few basic attacks. If you are with a team, then you can tackle the enemy quite easily. The only thing you need to keep an eye out for while fighting the Infuriated Reptilian Butcher is that there are moments during the fight where the enemy will use stealth and turn invisible. If that happens, quickly head over to the Luminescent Coral and activate it to make the Infuriated Reptilian Butcher reappear.
Infuriated Reptilian Executioner
Once the gates are opened, head inside and go up the stairs on your left to find and save the Terrified Merchant. Follow along the same path to find the second mini-boss; the Infuriated Reptilian Executioner. The boss has two main moves to look out for, its wave attacks and its immobilizing attacks. The immobilizing attacks will affect a single player. Whoever the Reptilian Executioner targets, will remain stunned for some time, and the boss will jump and drop down on the target to deal damage. The only way to dodge this attack is to block it.
Besides this, the Executioner will bring forth two waves of boiling water which has a large AOE. The only way to dodge this attack is to jump over it. You can anticipate the waves whenever the boss teleports to either corner of the arena. The Reptilian Executioner does not work alone, as there will be random mob spawns throughout the fight. Deal with them first then tackle the boss, and after defeating it you can move on to the next area.
Infuriated Reptilian Gladiator
Hop onto the Geyser ahead to get blown upwards, then follow the path toward the next mini-boss. Ignore the mobs in front of the boss and head straight down towards the Infuriated Reptilian Gladiator. You might remember this boss from Tyrant Isle, but you will find the Infuriated Reptilian Gladiator tougher.
Dodge the boss’s AoE attacks by hiding behind the totems in the area whenever you see it lunging at you. The player it targets will start glowing red, so quickly hide while the others stay away too. The boss will lunge at the player twice, so keep hiding behind the totem. Eventually, the boss will get stunned and the totem will break. Use this time to land some attacks, then rinse and repeat.
Kertaki Boss Fight Preparation In Throne And Liberty
You have now reached the lair of the final boss in the area. The Kertaki has some choice moves while trying to defeat you and your team. But before that, try to place some pins on the 4 geysers around the area. These pins will help you navigate towards the geysers when the arena is filled with smoke, as you are required to extinguish the flames left by Kertaki using the geyser water. Also, put a personal pin on a blue flower that is closest to your location, so you can consume it for later.
Kertaki Boss Fight Guide In Throne And Liberty
Initially, Kertaki will start off using some basic attacks, which we will list out below.
- Kertaki will single out the Tank and stun them, then launch some heavy attacks at the stunned target. Use any cleansing skill on the target to remove the stun debuff so they can defend themselves.
- If the boss starts to pulsate purple all over its body, be ready for a spin attack. This attack can be blocked.
- A purple diamond icon will appear on the Kertaki, preparing it for a fury attack. After it is done charging, it will unleash its attack as an AoE. Performing a moving block is preferred here, followed up with a counter attack once the boss has used up its attack.
Once the boss is done with the above moves, the attack patterns will start getting a bit more complex.
Fireball Attack
Kertaki will let loose a few fireballs around the area. They will target the players on the field, and the best method to avoid getting hit is to run inside the geyser you marked earlier. That way, the fireball will extinguish itself and remove the smoke that is forming around the area. In case you didn’t time your run properly and the fireball instead lands on the floor, you can still pick it up and gain a debuff, then carry the fireball to the geyser to extinguish it. You will lose some health in the process. Make sure that all the fog is cleared or you will lose the match.
Baby Lizards
Right after the fireball attacks, a few baby lizards will appear. Clear them out by grouping close to the boss and killing all of them together. At the same time, Kertaki will apply two heavy attacks, which can be avoided using a moving block. If you or your party members get hit, there will be a movement debuff. Apply Nature’s Blessing on the affected player to cleanse them.
Geyser Attack
Once the boss is at 50% or below, certain geysers around you will start to boil. That means the boss is preparing for a huge AoE attack that can deal massive damage. The only way to avoid it is to spot the boiling geyser and get into it, this will propel you to the air and you can avoid the attack. Before the attack, Kertaki will usually say “Try to dodge this!”. This is why it is important to clear the fog from the Fireball stage so you can clearly see which geyser is active. At less than 50% HP, the boss will apply this same tactic twice.
Rat Transformation
The Rat Transformation attack happens two times, once when Kertaki is at 90% or less health, and another time when the boss is near the end of its health bar. The Rat Transformation will turn you and your party into rats, and a magical ring will appear around you. Try to stay within the ring, as stepping on it will be detrimental.
The key to winning this round is that all players should avoid getting bitten by the boss. All players should spread out first and wait their turn to get bitten. Just before the boss bites, press the Burrow option to dive underground. This way, Kertaki will move on to the next target. After all party members have had their share of trying to get bit and successfully burrowing underground, the boss will get stunned and the magic ring will disappear. Use this time to consume the blue flower and turn back.
In case you end up burrowing too early, you have to reappear and get up above ground before the round ends. Failure to do so will result in everyone losing the match. During the second Rat Transformation, Kertaki will turn invisible, making it harder to detect who it will attack. Pay attention to the shadow on the floor and quickly burrow underground when the shadow gets too close.
