Guide To Cursed Wasteland Dungeon In Throne And Liberty

- From the spawn point, make your way uphill. Take out any enemy mob but make sure not to touch any glowing beam of light coming out of the ground. The trash mobs you face in between boss battles are easy to take care of, so don’t put too much effort into overthinking it.
Exploration Codex Page #1: When you spawn in the Dungeon, turn around, and you will find your first Exploration Codex on a rock.
- They are easy to deal with, sometimes the fury attacks can throw you off guard but not as dangerous as you might think, you can easily get rid of them. Range attacks will do a good amount of damage and will keep you away from their attacks.
- Make it to a bonfire, take a rest here before proceeding to the entrance to the next room. Once you are ready, head to the next area, and take out the two guards of the room. Once they are dead, it’s time to face the first boss in the dungeon, Blath. He is not going to show up right away, activate the purple orb to summon Blath.
How To Defeat The First Mini-Boss Blath

While the creature may look dangerous, in reality, you can easily smoke him out. He has two deadly moves, that we need to make sure to get out of the way as fast as we can or we will get stuck to take free hits.
First Attack –
Here the boss spawns an AOE attack on the ground, so just move away or block to prevent the damage.
Second Attack –
The second attack where he pulls every player towards him and launches dark energy on the ground. The energy quickly spreads, and the only solution here is to move out, but it is not going to be easy.
The boss also spawns golden light beams off the ground. So we will not be able to just dash away from the dark energy, here we will have to navigate through the lights to get to a safe area.
After defeating Blath, head to the next bonfire to heal up, then move towards the next phase of the dungeon, you will encounter the entrance to the next boss room guarded by two elemental monsters. After defeating them, we will be on our way to face the second miniboss in the game Belrog.
Exploration Codex Page #2: Next to the bonfire, between the V-shaped cracks, you will find the second exploration codex page on the ground.
How To Defeat The Second Mini-Boss Belrog
Compared to the first mini-boss in the Dungeon, Belrog is no different he just has a slightly different moveset.
Major attack:
The only attack you should watch out for is his pulling ability. Much like the first mini-boss encounter, once Belrog pulls everybody around him, he will disappear and instantly launch an AOE attack on the ground. But you will quickly see you will be surrounded by glowing golden beams all around you with no space to escape.
Tactic to Survive Belrog
Here to get out safely, Head to the orbs next to the golden square blockade. Don’t touch the light, run to the orbs and interact with them, by pressing F on the orbs floating next to the golden light.
This will close off the beam, so we can move to the other side without worrying about getting stuck on the light. Carry out the same action again for the next glowing square blockade to safely get out of the attack range.
After defeating the boss, move to the next area, you will find the last bonfire, rest, and heal up now you are ready to face the final boss in the dungeon.
Exploration Codex Page #3: Go to the ruined pillars next to the bonfire, you will find the Last Exploration Codex Page on the top of the ruined pillar.
How To Defeat Shaikal In Throne And Liberty

It’s going to be tough compared to the mini-bosses we faced earlier in the game. The boss here has two phases, the second phase will come to fruition once its health reaches 25%.
Note: The area here is separated into three different arenas with a glowing beam in the middle of all three sections. But you can close the beam for a second after interacting with the horn-shaped object at the end of each glowing beam. Remember them, they will come in handy later.
Shaikal First Phase
The initial phase has Shaikal do some pretty average attacks with nothing dangerous. You can easily dodge out of the way to survive.
- AOE Fury attack, nothing drastic, anyone can block it off. The purple inductor will give this attack away to the players.
- Spawning energy circles on the ground, you need to move away from the affected areas. Just simply move out of the way to dodge this attack type.
Now let’s focus on two major attacks of Shaikal.
- Red Orb Spawn –
Shaikal sometimes will place a red orb on the player(Randomly). If the player with the red orb stays too long with the group, they will start damaging all the players around them. The only solution here is to get out of the group as close to the edge of the area, but don’t touch the golden cracks until the red orb disappears, then you can continue with the battle. - Purple Orb Spawn –
Acts like the red orb but instead of damaging the teammates, it will downright kill them. Once any random player is marked with the purple orb, the boss will start going after the player by spreading a purple fire attack, the only way to survive is to move out of the way, by running in circles in the arena. But the problem here is, that the whole arena is divided by the glowing beams, touching it will make the player stuck, which will lead to their imminent death.
Tactic to Avoid Purple Orb
What’s the solution? Unlike Red Orb where you can just move to the edge for the orb to disappear. Here everything comes down to Teamwork.
- First, the player with the purple orb needs to move to the empty section of the arena with the help of other players, especially the tank. Once the player gets the purple orb, the boss will only focus on the player. The tank can switch off other glowing walls for the purple player to pass through.
- The other player must switch off the horn-shaped mechanics to disable the glowing crack in the middle. The Tank then removes the other glowing beams in the area for the player with the purple orb to circle around the arena running away from the purple fire spilling out on the arena behind them.
It is the deadly attack in this dungeon, make sure to be ready to move out if you see the purple orb over your head or you will put the entire team in jeopardy.
Shaikal Second Phase
The second phase is just an extreme version of the first phase, here the Shaikal hit twice as hard as before. It will drop two Red Orbs and Purple Orbs on players. If this is your first time running this dungeon, you might notice the difference at first, but eventually, you will see what two purple orbs can do the entire team. The solution stays the same, but it all comes down to the execution.
Here most players will tend to take the hit rather than going through the solution. I’ve seen plenty of people with purple orbs just taking the hit and dying instead of trying to survive. Since the second phase of the attack only comes after 25%, the rest of the team can easily take that health away quickly.
If you didn’t sacrifice yourself, congratulations you have now completed the Cursed Wasteland Dungeon.
