The Alters: How To Deal with Prism Anomaly

Prism Anomalies is one of the rarest anomalies that show up for the first time in Act 3 in The Alters. Unlike the previous kinds, this type casts a distorted visual effect screen, making you feel like you are trapped inside a mirror house. Navigating through the Prism anomalies section can be pretty daunting, as sometimes the game throws other kinds of anomalies inside these zones to make running away more challenging. This guide will help you deal with the Prism anomalies in the best way possible.

You must destroy all three cores to shut off the Prism effect and destroy the anomaly. Whenever you encounter a Prism anomaly in Alter, you will get trapped in its distorted effect of a mirror house. When you are in the effect, predicting common anomalies or finding the straight line will become a difficult task. The best course of action would be to remove the Prism anomalies altogether from the area.

    • When you first arrive in the Prism anomaly’s location, the screen will be cut into multiple triangle-shaped pieces. Each piece shows multiple sections of the same area, making the navigation confusing. The game also throws multiple common anomalies to make the navigation even more difficult.
    • The visual effect of the Prism anomalies will stay on the screen until you defeat the anomaly or get out of the affected zone. While getting out is a solid idea, in Act 3, the Mineral deposit is placed directly under the Prism anomaly. You must get rid of it to mine the Mineral out of the land.
    • The core has a rippled water effect around it, making it unique from the surroundings. While you can’t see the cores from a distance, it’s only visible when you are near them. These cores are always floating on the ground, so always look into the pieces floating around you to spot them.
    • The best thing about these transparent cores is that they don’t move; they stay in the same place, just like the anomalies that lead us to Planetary Samples. Once you spot one of them, pull out the Luminator and aim at the core until it disappears.
    • Repeat the same tactic to destroy the second core, and lastly, the third core to destroy the prism anomaly along with the effect in the area.

Always carry a Suit Battery before tackling the Prism anomaly, as the are around or inside the Prism anomaly has plenty of common ones that including the one that stands still and the rush-type anomalies. Since you are going to spend a lot of time in the Prism anomaly-affected zone, getting rid of the common ones will make the experience a bit easier.
