Suikoden HD Remake offers a huge list of characters that you get to add to your team, and most of the time you come across them while out exploring. But some quests or actions can lock you out from collecting certain characters. All Missable Characters In Suikoden 1 Remaster
There are 10 characters in Suikoden 1 Remaster that you can easily miss if you pick the wrong options or have them killed. If you have picked the wrong option, it will lock you out of recruiting them in your team. Below are all the characters you need to look out for and how to recruit them.
Note: Most characters can be recruited after reaching Castle Level 4 and above.

| Leon | Kalekka | After the Dragon Knight Fortress events, find Leon in Kalekka and talk to him once in the town. Then, talk to him again after you receive Matheiu’s letter to recruit him. All this should be done before attacking Moravia or Sonya Shulen and her army outside Shasarazade. |
| Maximillian | Northern Checkpoint | After taking over Moravia Castle, head to the Northern Checkpoint to find him. Choose the option to join the Liberation Army to add him. |
| Sancho | Northern Checkpoint | Recruiting Maximillian will also recruit Sancho. |
| Mace | Seek Valley | Head over to Seek Valley while bringing along Maas, Meese, Mose, and Moose with you and talk to Mace to recruit him. |
| Clive | Rikon | Clive can be found on the ground floor of Rikon Inn. If he is not here, exit the world map and reenter the Inn, and keep repeating till he appears. |
| Crowley | Cave of the Past | Locate the hidden area within the Cave of the Past to find and recruit Crowley. |
| Sonya Shulen | Headquarters Basement | You can find Sonya in the HQ’s basement jail after defeating her at Shasarazade. This location is near Kamandol and Juppo. Talk to her in prison and choose the options “I want you to join us.”&”I don’t mind.” |

| Pesmerga | Neclord’s Castle | Speak to Pesmerga in Neclord’s Castle’s top floor to recruit him. |
All Missable Characters in Suikoden 2 Remaster
There are a handful of characters that are easy to miss in Suikoden 2 HD Remaster, but you can recruit most of them with the right choices.

| Feather | Forest Village | Defeat all the Griffins within the village and use the Listening Orb on Feather. |
| Sigfried | Unicorn Woods | Recruit Hix and Tengaar before going through the Path of the Unicorn. Pure Maiden should be in your party, then use a Listening Orb to recruit Sigfried. |
| Abizboah | Tinto Mines | Use a Listening Orb while in the mines to find Abizboah. This helps in recruiting Rulodia and Chuchara. |
| Millie | Ryube Forest | Accept her quest in finding Bonaparte. |
| Shiro and Kinnison | Ryube Forest | Locate the bird’s nest in Ryube Forest and return it to the tree. Leave the forest and return after a while to find both characters under the tree waiting to be recruited. |
| Rikimaru | Ryube Forest | Agree to pay for his meal. |
| Clive | South Window City | Take the package from Elza in Muse City, then take the boat out of town towards South Window City to speak to Clive. |
| Gilbert | Muse City | Deal one damage to Gilbert during the third army battle to recruit him. |
