Suikoden 1&2 HD Remaster: How To Get & Use Celadon Urn

Suikoden has joined this growing list of games that have released a HD Remastered version, with the launch of parts 1 and 2. You get to follow the storyline the 108 Stars of Destiny as you fight for justice and change the course of the game. But to help you out, you need to collect unique items that will offer you some stat boosts or money when sold. One of the strangest and rarest items to get is the Celadon Urn, and this guide will show you how to get it in Suikoden Remaster.

The only way you can get the Celadon Urn in Suikoden 1 is by defeating several Furballs or Bonbon enemies. These enemies are the earliest monster types to spawn throughout the game, so you would have probably had your fair share of encounters in Chapter 1 itself.

While exploring Gregminster and beyond, you will spot Furballs at random, so keep bumping into them and killing them till they drop a unique antique item that shows up as ??? in your inventory. It can take several hours till you finally get this item as a drop, so don’t give up till you do get it.

To get the Celadon Urn in Suikoden 2 HD Remaster, participate and win the Lumberjack Knot mini-game under the Castle League difficulty. To do this, first, upgrade your castle to level 2 by recruiting 31 characters. Then, within the New State Army HQ, head over to the laundry area through the northern gate of Hai Yo’s restaurant. Speak to the soldier standing by the cliff to start Lumberjack Knot, a rope-climbing mini-game.

This costs 10,000 Potch as the entrance fee. There are 7 fixed rewards when you win first place here, but you can only get one random reward from the reward pool. The rewards will rotate with each attempt, so you need to try a couple of times and claim 1st place till you get the Celadon Urn as a reward. Another way to get the urn is to trade at Trading Posts. Some Posts will offer the Celadon Urn for cheap, especially when there is low demand for them.

The Celadon Urn is a trade item and will give you varying amounts of Potch, starting from 20000 Potch. You can find an appraiser in most towns to sell this item to, or you can give it to Jabba at your HQ to have the urn appraised. If you have the Old Book Vol. 7, it will list out every antique available and the related price for each, including for the Celadon Urn.

This item can also be sold at Trading Posts if you locate a place where the urn is at high demand. If you don’t wish to sell the urn, you can also place it out on display at your bathhouse. You need to recruit Sansuke first to help build a bath at your base, then you can hand over your antiques to him to put them on display.

Suikoden 1&2 HD Remaster is a huge game with a lot to do, and we have guides covering how to get the Fortune Orb and Prosperity Orb and how to defeat the Zombie Dragon that you can check out.
