The Stories Untold free content in Stalker 2 brings not just a new story, but new characters, new weapons, and more.
However, starting this Stalker 2 DLC has now become a radioactive topic of discussion, with players being confused about where to begin, and GCS being coy about the procedure in their official blog post.
Yet, it’s simpler than you think. Despite the blog post stating that the PDA for this DLC is caught near the Burnt Forest, there’s a specific guaranteed location to get it. So, here’s where you need to travel to in Stalker 2.
Starting Stories Untold in Stalker 2
Players can start Stories Untold by traveling to the bridge, located southeast of the Chemical Plant, to the west of the Pallet Warehouse and the Motor Depot, as shown in the image above.
Once you’re on the bridge, you’ll receive a radio transmission from Banzai, who seems to be captured by a gang of thugs in the Old Mine at Red Forest.
This is a prerequisite to the new “Dark as a Dungeon” quest, which becomes available after leaving Zalissya, the first hub you encounter in the Lesser Zone in Stalker 2. To continue this quest, you need to travel southeast of the Red Forest.
Head to the Old Mine at the Red Forest, as shown in the image above, where you’ll face the gang that captured Banzai in the mines. Arm your weapons as you dive deeper into the area, since you’ll meet more individuals who aren’t exactly pleased to meet you.
Inside the tunnel, follow the train tracks until they divert to the right. Keep on the rightward part, and you’ll meet Banzai, locked in a cell to your left. Hit the lock to break it and free him from his captivity, which begins the “Dark as a Dungeon” Quest, hence initiating the first mission in Stories Untold.
