In Split Fiction, once you reach Level 4’s Final Dawn, you will unlock the Moon Market side story. There is a unique puzzle to solve involving three ghost cats, and you need to track them down to unlock the locked gate. This guide will cover how to solve the Moon Market cat puzzle in Split Fiction.
Moon Market Cat Gate Puzzle Solution
After getting to Moon Market through the ghostly boat, you will come across a yellow ghost cat that will unlock the first locked gate in your path. This will trigger a short cutscene, where you will watch three other ghost cats of varying colors scamper across the market in different directions. Your task here is to locate all three cats and bring them back to the other locked gate to continue with the game.
White Cat Location
Head right into the alley past the main entrance to follow the path where the white ghost cat might have gone. There are two lanterns to pick up at the end of the path, so you and your friend need to pick one up each. While the path does end here, after picking up the lanterns, apparitions of coffins will appear. You and your friend need to jump across these floating coffin platforms together while holding the lanterns high.
You will eventually stumble across a large sleeping cat with the ghost cat nestled next to its paw. Try not to wake up the sleeping cat by making you or a friend play the harp on the right side of the level. The other person should make their way across the moving platforms towards the ghost cat and interact with it to pick it up. This will alert the giant cat, and its roar will push the player across the gap, where the two of you can make your escape back to the locked gate with the three cat faces.
Pink Cat Location
The pink ghost cat disappeared through an alley that is lit up by a lone red lantern, so make your way through the same path to find it. Jump across the wooden platforms on the left and make your way towards the hut. Interact with the lanterns in front of the door to watch a short cutscene where the pink ghost cat runs off. Run across the wooden platform till there is nowhere left to go. You will spot a handful of flying witches above, hook a ride on them to get to the house standing up on chicken legs.
- Wait till the witch is about to fly into the hole on the house’s wall
- Then jump off and land on the wooden platform.
- Your task now is to get to the roof of the house, so run around to the right side and jump across the wooden platforms.
- Interact with the lanterns on the wall to bring down a ladder, make your way up, then jump across the large floating lanterns on your left.
- Keep climbing up ladders, crossing wooden platforms, and jumping across the floating lanterns till you reach the top.
- You will spot a chest where the pink cat is locked inside, so the two of you should work together to lift the lid up.
- Interact with the cat to pick it up and use the floating books to glide back to the starting location.
Green Cat Location
Getting the final cat to finish the puzzle is pretty simple. Head down the path where there is a large pink door blocking the way and watch the cutscene. After that, you and your friend should pick up the hats placed in front of you. One hat will be yellow, while the other is blue, and you will also spot a drawing appearing on the door. The drawing is the same as what is shown on the ground, and your task here is to color it correctly. The colors should match the drawing shown on the door.
Walk across the outlined path and hold down the respective button to start planting flowers. If the entire path is covered in flowers, it will start to glow. Correctly coloring the path will unlock the large pink door, which will lead you straight to the final ghost cat stuck under a giant mushroom. Head back to the locked gate to lead the final cat there and unlock it to progress the game.
