Since Sonic Rumble is a Battle Royale, you will get a huge selection of characters to pick from. Some characters are locked behind events or paywalls. One of the more popular character skins that players look forward to is the Movie Sonic and Metal Sonic. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t give a clear overview of how to obtain these character skins, so keep reading below to know how to get them.
How to Get Movie Sonic in Sonic Rumble
After unlocking the original Sonic skin, check your in-game mail to find the Movie Sonic reward. Original Sonic is part of the game’s character roster, so you would have unlocked it from the start. After that, click on the three lines on the top right corner of the game’s Home screen to get to the Main Menu. Select the Mailbox option, then click on the Pre-Registration Rewards to find and claim the Movie Sonic skin.
While it does say that the rewards are for players who pre-registered, post global launch, the rewards are handed out to all players. However, you need to claim them before December 31st, 2025. If you check the validity date of the Pre-Registration Rewards in your mailbox, it will show you how long you have left to claim them. Once you are past this date, you will no longer get the Movie Sonic skin.
How to Get Metal Sonic in Sonic Rumble
Playing the game will unlock Metal Sonic randomly. Metal Sonic is part of the original playable characters in the game’s roster, but there isn’t a fixed method to get this skin. This skin is unlockable at any stage, as long as you keep completing the challenges and missions within them. Also, some players have found that getting a few C ranks during these missions unlocked the skin for them.
Unlike Movie Sonic, Metal Sonic won’t have a deadline to unlock it. Plus, you don’t need to pre-register for the game either. You just need to play the game to find the skin in your roster list.
