Now that Sonic Rumble has received its full release, you will notice several new changes and additional features. If you are jumping back into the game after a while, you might want to start over with a new persona. That includes changing your username, which is possible through a certain method. This guide will detail how to change your username in Sonic Rumble.

To change your username to something else, just follow the steps below.

    • Launch the game and head over to the Home screen.
    • From there, go to the main menu by clicking on the three lines on the top right corner of the screen.
    • Under the main menu, find the Settings option, then scroll down to find the Player Name Settings.
    • Within the Player Name Settings menu, find the Change Player Name option.
    • Press the Change button beside it, then enter your new username.
    • Once ready, click on Confirm to set your new display name. You will see your new name appear on the main game screen, in the top left corner.
    • Each time you rename your profile, you need to wait for a week to go by before you get to change your username again.

Do note that if you had set your age to under 18, then you will not get the option to change your display name. You will, instead, get a default name that will stick with your profile. There is no method to change your date of birth in Sonic Rumble, so this is something to keep in mind if you wish to change your username in the future.

When choosing your new username, you need to follow some rules.

    • Numbers, letters, and one-byte symbols are allowed.
    • Your username’s length can be anywhere between 2 – 14 characters.
    • Your display name should not contain invalid letters or obscenities, which will prevent you from changing it.
    • Personal identification in your display name should be avoided.

And with that, you get to quickly change your Sonic Rumble username to match your in-game personality. With these tips, you are sure to get a unique identification to help jumpstart your new adventure.
