    Skate Story: Philoskater Guide

Some Skate Story trophies are straightforward to earn, but they often come with small twists that can catch players off guard.

If you know what to look for, you can unlock most of them in a single playthrough without worrying about replaying the game. Philoskater is a perfect example: it’s simple to earn, yet surprisingly easy to miss.

The Philoskater trophy is tied to the game’s first chapter. If you happened to skip it during your initial run, there’s no need to stress. As long as you haven’t reached the Point of No Return, you can freely replay this chapter from the hub and still unlock the trophy.

Because it takes place so early in the game, the requirements for Philoskater are minimal. What causes most players to miss it is the trigger itself: you need to talk to a floating head figure that isn’t part of the main path. Since this interaction is completely optional and easy to overlook, many players skate right past it without realizing it’s tied to a trophy.

How to unlock the Philoskater Trophy in Skate Story

Chapter 1 of Skate Story is set in an arena called the Lyceum. As soon as you enter the area, turn to the right and look for a cluster of red thorns.

Beneath them, you’ll find a philosopher’s head statue that you can interact with. When you speak to it, the statue will challenge you to perform a trick over its head.

The only real challenge here is spotting the statue in the first place. That said, the Lyceum is much smaller than later areas, so locating it shouldn’t take long.

Once you’ve interacted with the statue, simply skate toward it and land any trick while passing over the head. Doing so will trigger a short cutscene, and once it ends, the Philoskater trophy will unlock automatically.

The game doesn’t specify a trick, so you can perform anything you want. As long as you jump over the statue, it should be good.

This trophy is much easier to obtain compared to the Eternally Bound trophy in Chapter 4 of the game. If you need assistance with other games, make sure to check our Guides page as well.

I am the jack of all trades, and master of none. I love everything about games, but stories have a special place in my heart. Especially, anything related to Disco Elysium.
