To begin romancing Ulalaka, you’ll first need to increase your bond with her by interacting regularly with her, and most importantly, giving her gifts. Participating in hangouts and special character events also helps push the relationship forward.
Once your relationship reaches the required level and you’ve completed the necessary events, you can propose, and eventually marry her.
Ulalaka’s Favorite and Liked Gifts
Gifting is the most reliable method of improving your relationship with Ulalaka. Understanding which items she loves versus what she simply likes will play a big role in moving the relationship ahead.
Loved Gifts
Ulalaka has a strong preference for sake and divine-themed items. These provide the highest bond boosts:
- Azuma Sake
- Orochi Slayer
- Sacred Sake
- Spring Mouth-Chewed Sake
While these items are more difficult to obtain than standard gifts, they work much better than standard gifts.

Hangouts are special interactions where you can spend time with Ulalaka. These events are sometimes triggered after giving her gifts or reaching a specific bond level. During hangouts, choose dialogue options that align with her personality to deepen your relationship.
You will get to know how a particular Hangout went by looking at the top left of the box: a heart means all went well, while a black cloud means not so much. What works for Ulalaka is getting a bite at Iroha’s and at Yachiyo’s.
Romance events will also appear as you increase bond points. These may take place at her shrine or other related locations. Completing these events is necessary to unlock the option to propose.
Ulalaka’s Location and Schedule
Ulalaka doesn’t follow the usual schedule like other townspeople, as she’s a deity character. She can usually be found around her shrine or spring-themed locations. Visiting these areas daily will increase your chances of encountering her and triggering hangouts or events.

Once you’ve raised Ulalaka’s bond level to maximum and completed all her romance events, you’ll unlock the option to propose. You may need a special item, like an engagement ring or divine offering, to initiate the proposal.
