Pragmata is proving to be a big deal, as expected from Capcom’s first new IP in quite a while. You’ll want to make sure you can keep your progress no matter where you play, so keeping an eye on your save’s actual location is paramount.
Let me quickly show you exactly where you can find your Pragmata save file, in case you want to save it on a local drive or keep a secure backup.
Finding Pragmata’s Save File Location

Your Pragmata save file isn’t actually kept with the rest of the game’s install, but is hidden in your local userdata. To find it, head to your local (C:) disk and find your Steam folder in Program Files (x86).
Inside amongst your Steam files is a folder labeled userdata, where most of your non-cloud save games are kept. Here you’ll find your steam user ID in the form of a random series of numbers, containing all kinds of other number sequences.
These number sequences are the indiviual IDs of every game you have a local file for, and Pragmata’s save can be found under it’s ID: 3357650.
So, to sum it up, the full path for your Pragmata save file will be:
C:>Program Files (x86)>Steam>userdata>[your unique user ID]>3357650>win64_save
There maybe a ‘remote’ folder after 3357650, in which case the savefile will be in that folder.
One may first search for a CAPCOM folder to find the savefile, but, as we see here, that’s not the case. The game loads from Steam, hence that is the parent folder where the file gets saved.
Pragmata does have multiple save slots, so you can do the classic save scum technique if you want to replay a certain section again, or check out different combat systems or collectible locations after you have played past a certain section.
The main reason the actual savegame location comes handy is to create a backup. You can freely paste these files into any other secure location you’d like, just in case the worst comes to pass or you need to move setups.
