Pokémon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension – How To Get Hoopa Unbound

The new side quests in Pokémon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC will introduce you to Pokémon that you otherwise won’t encounter in the wild. The moment I got wind of a rogue Hoopa within an unknown hyperspace distortion, I had to see it with my own eyes.

But first, I had to speak to a couple of people and gather the necessary supplies and information before I could face the beast head-on. The fight to get the Hoopa Unbound in my Pokémon arsenal was no easy task; hence, this guide will explain how to easily get Hoopa Unbound inPokémon Z-A.

Hoopa Unbound can be found as part of Side Quest 196 – The Djinn Unbound. To start the quest, you first need to complete the Mega Dimension DLC’s main storyline. After that, head over to Ansha’s donut store and speak to Taunie near the counter. She will mention that she found an item called a Prison Bottle, which will catch Hoopa’s attention. Corbeau will also call you mid-conversation to inform you of a random distortion that has appeared.

All this has made Hoopa uneasy, so it’s up to you to find out what’s going on. Collect the Prison Bottle from Taunie, then check out your map to find an unknown hyperspace distortion between Bleu Sector 6 and 8, beside Wild Zone 16. It would be a bit tricky to find the distortion while on the ground, so find a Holovator on the building near Bleu Sector 8 and make your way up to the roof. Continue towards the quest marker and drop down when you find the hyperspace distortion.

Enter the hyperspace distortion as you normally would for any other Hyperspace Wild Zone. You will require a 5-star donut for this one. Once inside, you will spot the Unbound version of Hoopa. Interact with it to start the fight. This is a level 200 Pokémon, so if you are not ready, come back later to start the fight. Unbound Hoopa is weak to Dark and Ghost-type Pokémon, so have those in your team to win.

Once Unbound Hoopa is defeated, you will get an option to use the Prison Bottle and turn it into a regular Hoopa. Hoopa will then join your team, and all that’s left is to visit Ansha and quell her Hoopa’s fears. This will complete the side quest, and you will get the following rewards.

    • ₽10,000
    • Exp. Candy XL x5

You are now free to use Hoopa in battle, and you also get an option to turn it into Unbound Hoopa by removing the Prison Bottle. For more Pokémon Z-A guides, check our guides on Kiosk Conundrum Correct Drink Order Answers, How To Get Corbeau Outfit, and Where to Find Alolan Meowth.
