You can work alongside your friends to try and get to the very top of the mountain in PEAK. But, the path ahead is filled with challenges, and a wrong step or move can result in instant death. Once you or your friends die, there is a small window where someone in your team needs to find them and revive them. If you don’t get to the fallen comrade on time, then something strange starts to take place. This guide will explain how to become a ghost in PEAK.
PEAK: How to Turn Into a Ghost

Each player in your team has a certain amount of health to maintain, and this health does get depleted every time they take damage. You won’t immediately die on impact, but losing health does happen gradually. If you have run out of healing supplies, then you will ultimately face death. Once you are dead, it is up to your teammates to revive you.
There is a small timer that appears once you die, and your teammates have to revive you using any healing equipment before the timer ends. In case they don’t have anything on them, then you ultimately become a ghost. But, this isn’t the end of the game, and you can continue to support your teammates in the following ways.
- Being a ghost helps you get free rein to explore the rest of the region, helping your teammates navigate the tough terrains ahead.
- You can still communicate via voice chat with your team and lead them up the mountains.
- As a ghost, you can work with your team to be their scout and map out the best possible route ahead.
While floating around does sound like a lot of fun, you cannot pick up, use, or drop items that you find. You have to help your teammates navigate towards any item that you find so they can use it for survival.
How to Stop Being a Ghost

There are only two known ways to return to your normal self in PEAK. Both of the items below are a bit rare to find and use, so you have to use them carefully and only when required. You can turn back to normal using either:
- Scout Effigies
- Campfire Altars
Effigies are the rarest items to get, and as such, can only revive one ghost per use. If you get an Effigy, it is best to keep them until you find a Campfire Altar. Campfire Altars can revive all ghosts in one go, which is a much more efficient way to revive fallen teammates.
