Towers act as the Pokémon gyms of Palworld, unlocking new mechanics and opening more of the world as you go. The penultimate gym lies on the high peaks of Sunreach. We’ll go over how to unlock the Auri and Shaolong tower in Palworld.
You unlock the Auri and Shalong Tower by first unlocking Sunreach, defeating Bjorn & Bastigar at Feybreak Tower, travelling to Sunreach, and then defeating Auri and Shaolong.
The battle is at level 70, only 10 away from the level cap, so make sure you’re plenty prepared. Snag some Ancient Armor, gather your strongest pals, and let’s go over the steps to unlock the Tower and secure the last key sphere!
Unlocking Sunreach

Sunreach is an island in the sky found in the deep southwest of the map. The island floats very high up in the sky, far above where your flying mounts will be able to reach. I haven’t found a way to brute force it, so we’ll need to follow the intended progression.
Instead, we’ll need to beat tower number seven, found deep in the ice biome at the Feybreak Tower, coordinates -1249, -1699. This boss is a toughie all on its own, so let’s go over it.
Feybreak Tower – Bjorn and Bastigor

At the top of the Feybreak tower sit Bjorn and Bastigor, a titanic ice elemental duo who hit hard and abuse massive AOEs to cause issues. With 330,000 HP, Bastigor is amongst the tankiest bosses in Palworld. You’ll need to keep a good range and play as safe as possible.
Bjron is level 60, and as an ice type he’s severely vulnerable to fire element attacks. Flamethrowers, fire Pals, and other level 55~60 weapons and Pals are must-haves.
The area surrounding the tower has plenty of Pal spawns that float around the level 50 area, making it a perfect spot to nab some filler members for your party. For proper fire Pals, head to the desert or volcano regions on the map.
Nabbing a Blazamut is a great way to finish out a team. Found in the Blazing Mineshaft, the Blazamut world boss comes with the unique passive Flame Emperor, buffing all fire damage dealt by the party.
Once you gather the proper party and ensure you’re bundled for the weather, head back to Feybreak tower and take on Bjorn!
Fast Traveling to Sunreach
Once you’ve defeated Bjorn, a unique fast travel point will open all the way up in Sunreach. Use it from any other fast travel point to warp there! Beware, the Pals and enemies in Sunreach are extremely strong, all just under the level 70 peak of Auri and Shaolong.
Sunreach itself is defended by six defensive modules marked on your map once you arrive. Simply follow the quest markers and interact with them to unlock Sunreach for exploration!
Battling Auri and Shaolong

Auri and Shaolong is a water and dragon type, giving it dual weaknesses! Powerful picks include both Electric and Ice damage, so looping back to Feybreak or using the Pals you nabbed there earlier can be incredibly useful after a bit of leveling. Frostalion is a great pick that deals major damage and can fly on its own. You can find it at the Land of Absolute Zero fast travel, directly to the east of where you spawn.
You’ll also need a proper flying mount, as Shaolong will eventually flood most of the arena. Your choices include attempting to battle on the very small platform left or taking to the skies. Shaolong relies on charging up a sprint attack before heading straight for you.
Abusing dodges, high mobility attacks, and range is your absolute best for this battle. Should you manage to beat her, you’ll net 5 extra Ancient Technology Points, another Key Sphere, and a huge bundle of XP.
Once you nab her sphere, you’ll be able to move on to the final Tower hidden inside the World Tree itself, Zenara and Astralym.
