Ever since the Feybreak Island update was added to Palworld, players have been using Nightstar Sand to craft high-level gear. The crafting material only appears in endgame and while not exclusive to the region, it mostly found there.
Nightstar Sand is so helpful that players spend a lot of time on Feybreak to farm this resource, but its not easy to come by, and takes a little patience and knowledge of the best spawning spots to farm.
Below, we’ll go over the best locations to farm Nightstar Sand in Palworld after the 1.0 update. Fortunately, the best farming spots haven’t changed since the 1.0 shakeup, with the content from Feybreak Island remaining unchanged.
Best Nightstar Sand locations for farming

Feybreak Island is by far the best location for farming Nightstar Sand in Palworld.
The resource is primarily found at night when exploring the island’s beaches, and its glowing nodes can be spotted from a distance. If you keep walking along the coastline of the island at night, you’ll almost certainly run into a few nodes of Nightstar Sand.
Generally, the sandy coastal areas of the Scorched Ashlands and the Deserted Ash Plateau are the best two locations to farm this resource.
If you’re keen to farm as much Nightstar Sand as you can, then consider bringing some Pals like Mimog and Nocculum with you. If they’re level 3 or higher, you can give them an Applied Work Tech book item, which will allow them to carry three times more than the usual amount of Nightstar Sand.
This saves you from returning to the location to farm it multiple times and means you’ll likely have a reserve of the precious resource.
While you can reliably obtain a good amount of Nightstar Sand using this method, it’s important to remember that this is still a limited resource, and once you’ve picked the can take a full in-game day to respawn. This is roughly around 30 minutes of real time, so using Pals is a great way to reduce the grind.
