A Mimog Effigy is a new item that was added to Palworld as part of the 1.0 update. These useful little things permanently increase the player’s movement speed when redeemed at a Statue of Power. However, the player will need to have gathered enough of them to unlock the upgrade.
Now there are restrictions on how many Mimog Effigies you can get due to how they’re unlocked, but the good news is that they are still plentiful and relatively easy to get. Below, we’ll share everything there is to know about farming more Mimog Effigies in Palworld 1.0.
How to get more Mimog Effigies

Mimog Effigies are essentially a tool to incentivise players into catching the same Pal species more than once, rather than catching one member of a species and ignoring them for the rest of the game. Players will be rewarded with a new Mimog Effigy every time they capture 5 of the same species of Pal. They look a lot like the Pal Mimog, but are a shiny blue color instead of his usual wooden chest appearance.
Once a Mimog Effigy for that species has been earned, players cannot get another one for that species. This effectively means that it’s 1 Mimog Effigy per Pal species, making them a finite resource – but still a plentiful one based on how many Pals there are in the game.
The trick to farming Mimog Effigies quickly to boost your speed early in the game is to spend some time catching all the low-level Pals at the start of the adventure. This ensures you’ll be nice and speedy for the rest of your time playing, and at a certain point, you’ll not need to bother with Mimog Effigies anymore. Weak Pals like Chikipi, Cattiva, Fuack, and Lamball make for easy targets in the early game.
Each time you upgrade your movement speed, it’ll increase by 0.5%, which isn’t much, but after farming Mimog Effigies for a while, you’ll soon start zipping around the map at a much higher speed. This will eventually plateau, and you’ll feel like you’re fast enough, but it’ll take a while to reach this point. Most players find this happens naturally as Pals start becoming harder to farm for 5 of the same species.
Once you unlock a Mimog Effigy, you’ll need to visit or build a Statue of Power to use it and give yourself a permanent bump in movement speed, but this is a simple enough task as these statues are located all over the world.
Mimog Effigies don’t weigh anything, but they also can’t be sold if you feel like you have enough of them. If you don’t use them to continue buffing your movement speed, they’ll simply sit in your inventory unused for the rest of your adventure, or until you decide to redeem them. Just be careful you don’t get so fast the game feels like it’s being played on ice!
