Now, with the Palpagos Islands almost fully explored and its strongest Pals in our grasp, we can discuss the Palworld 1.0 best worker Pals for every possible work type. This will include the best individual Pals, support Pals that can raise the base’s general effectiveness, and how to manually buff a Pal’s work suitability.
How to Max Out Work Suitability
Even the strongest Pals in each category sit under the work level cap, waxing out at 8 by default. With a little work and through two different methods, you can raise Pals to the absolute peak of each work type. Let’s go over both!
Catching Pals with Base Work Auras
New to Palworld 1.0 are Base Work Auras, a family of passive effects certain Pals have that buff certain work types.
These Base Work Auras can’t go any higher than the level cap of 10, but can provide decent boosts across the whole base that can do wonders to improve mediocre workers and act as temporary upgrades until you prepare the Pal Essence Condenser.

Manually Raising Work Suitability
Alternatively, utilizing consumable skill books will allow you to close out already high leveled Pal’s work suitability. Found at the end of dungeons or from supply drops that randomly occur across the world, these skill books are a nice bonus, but not consistent enough to aim for.
You can also buy them for Dog Coins from the Medal Merchants located across Palpagos. These books are expensive, but worth picking up if you have a surplus of Dog Coins. The Medal Merchant can appear at any set of ruins across the world randomly, so keep an eye out for their bulky frames as you travel.
The most consistent method to empower a Pal’s work suitability comes from the Pal Essence Condenser. Unlocked in the Ancient Tech Tree at level 14, this device allows you to consume Pals of the same species to empower a base Pal.
To build a Pall Essence Condenser, you need…

- 5 Ancient Civilization Parts
This base Pal can gain up to 5 stars, each improving their stats and Partner Skill. At max stars, their work suitabilities will improve, allowing you to raise strong rank 8s to the maximum of rank 10.
