Money makes the world go round, and the Palpagos Islands are no different. While Palworld has a few different currencies, Gold Coins are by far the most commonly used, so getting a surplus is paramount.
There are different methods for making cash throughout the game, so we’ll go over the Palworld 1.0 best gold coin farm in the early, mid, and late game!
Farming Gold Coins in the Early Game (Levels 1~35)
Early on, Gold Coins are hard to come by. Your best bet in the early levels is to shoot for level 30, where you unlock Giga Spheres. With these, you’ll want to hunt down the Dumud Gild, a massive golden Pal that sells for absolute bank.
While you’re pursuing your gilded prize, make sure you’ve got your Ranch manned by a Pal like Vixy, who has a chance of finding coins whenever it spawns a ranching item. Every little bit helps early on!
Dumud Gilds spawn in a few locations, surrounding the entire shoreline of Mount Obsidian, at the tips of the desert island to the world’s right, and most efficiently, in the Sealed Realm of Terraria.
This special dungeon, located at -422, -793, is where you’ll find all the new items and resources tied to the Tides of Terraria crossover Palworld released last year. Within this dungeon’s opening area, you’re very likely find a few Dumud Gilds wandering around.
Since they’re tied to the dungeon itself, you can just catch them, then immediately leave the dungeon to force them to respawn! These Dumud Gilds will be selling for around 25k Gold Coins a pop, so nab as many as your Pal Spheres allow before selling them off for big bank!
Farming Gold Coins in the Mid Game (Levels 40~50)
Once you’re a bit higher level, take your Dumud Gild hunt to the northern end of Sakurajima. Warp to the fast travel point at coordinates -522, 341 and sweep the area for the higher-level Dumud Gilds. Use some of the money you’ve made to buy strong Pal Spheres from any merchant you come across to keep up the Dumud Gild’s higher levels.
For Dumud Gild, its payout is linked directly to its level, so catching these stronger versions does wonders to speed up the grind. Sakurajima is a much larger area, so as long as you have the Pal Spheres, you can make massive amounts of money.
Alternatively, you can search around Sunreach for the various random Chest and Salvage spawns that fill in the area. Each will net you a few thousand Gold Coins, as well as late-game Pal Spheres and materials to sell if you don’t need them. Start your rotation at the Waterlily Gorge fast travel (-531, -1498) and continue around the island until you’re satisfied.
Farming Gold Coins in the Late Game (Levels 50<)
Once you’re sufficiently leveled, you can really up your cash creation. This strategy still focuses on Dumud Gilds, but this time, we’re going to breed our own! Set up a Breeding station and man it with two Dumud Gilds you’ve caught to guarantee the offspring is also a Dumud Gild.
Before we snag the new Dumud Gild egg, make sure to catch a few Pals with Partner Skills that will enhance the eggs once they’re bred. You’ll need…
- A Broncherry, found as a field boss at coordinates -222, -669.
- A Broncherry Aqua, found by the Sealed Realm of the Swift fast travel at 268, 18.
- A Grintale, found as a field boss at coordinates 335, -245.
Use the Pal Essence Condenser to upgrade each of them to at least tier 4. This way, each egg is guaranteed to be an Alpha egg, and has a 75% chance of being collected twice! These Alpha Dumud Gilds sell like hot cakes, increasing as you level them.
