The 0.192 Patch in Palia now offers tons of new quests where you have to search for an elusive treasure. You can collect tons of clues about the treasure’s whereabouts as you complete each quest along the way. There are two unique quests called Locket Away and Lock and Key, which go hand in hand in helping you get one step closer in unlocking the treasure. This guide will explain how to complete these quests in Palia.
Lock and Key Quest Guide Palia
While exploring Elderwood, you might have come across some unique creatures called Will-o-wisp Rockhopper. They can be found all across the swamps of Elderwood, especially around The Fallen Aqueduct. To unlock the Lock and Key quest, you need to hit a random Rockhopper till one of them drops a note. You will also receive a Water Key along with it, so read the note to see where to go and use it.
Water Key Chest Location
Head over to the secret Shipwreck Cave at D8, the same cave that you had first discovered during the Adventure on the Horizon quest. After sliding down the slope towards the Hidden Cave door, turn around and walk towards the gazebo while keeping to your right. You will spot a treasure chest submerged in the water within an alcove. Use the Water Key on the chest to get your second note and an Earth Key this time.
Earth Key Chest Location
After reading the note, make your way up the stairs on the left side of the Hidden Cave door. Keep going up and keep following the dirt path of the mountain till you spot a secret chest hidden behind some vines at the side of the mountain. You can find the chest on the right side while hugging the mountain’s walls. Use the key here to get your third note and the Fire Key.
Fire Key Chest Location
Turn around and walk along the path till you spot a flight of large, white, stone stairs leading up on your left. Get up those and make your way towards the door, then turn right and check out the area underneath the giant torch stuck to the wall. There is a chest here, use the Fire Key on it to get the fourth note and the Air Key.
Air Key Chest Location
While the note does say to go up a slide, you don’t have to backtrack anywhere. Rather, turn right and jump down the shallow ditch, then turn around. You will spot the final chest here, use the key to complete the Lock and Key quest. As your final reward, you will get the Prismbeard Statue decor item to place around your base.
Locket Away Quest Guide Palia
This is another random quest that you can pick up by defeating Ogopuus around the Deep Woods or The Fallen Aqueduct areas in Elderwoods. Keep hitting any Ogopuu that you come across till one of them drops the Tarnished Locket quest item. You can investigate the locket in your Quest Pouch, and it will give you the description that the locket has a picture of Hassian and Sifuu.
You need to find and talk to Hassian in Hassian’s Grove (C9). You can find him standing outside a large wooden gate. While speaking to him, select the option that you think the locket might belong to Taylin. You can select any other dialog option after that, and Hassian will briefly talk about her death and how it affected him. This will complete the quest, and you can get 1x Elemrald Ogopuu Scale and 1x Candied Kopaa Nuts as your rewards.
