In the Walking On Eggshells quest, you need to defeat hordes of Gorvid enemy units to retrieve a Gorvid egg from their nest to give to Tedford, the Head Gorvid Researcher. The real challenge lies in finding the exact location of the egg, but it can be done if you know the correct steps. In this guide, we’ll guide you on how to complete this quest in Outer Worlds 2.
How to complete the Walking On Eggshells quest in Outer Worlds 2

To complete the Walking On Eggshells quest, you need to first find the Indicator for the Gorvid egg, defeat the Gorvid enemy units present at the nest, and then give the egg to Tedford. The Head Gorvid Researcher is present at Auntie’s Border Camp south of the Praetor landing pad.
Once you have accepted the quest from her, head to the location marked in the image above. The location marked is a big rock structure present north-east of the Automech Production Facility. When you reach there, defeat the enemies present there and make your way behind the rock structure.

You’ll find a severed leg and a bloody spot glowing behind the rock. There you’ll find an Indicator. Interact with it using the Science 2, Medical 2, or Observation 2 skill to make it work. This device will mark a location on your map that you need to head over to.

The location, as shown in the image above, will lead you to a Gorvid nest inside a cave. Do note that this cave will be filled with Gorvid enemy units. Take a high vantage point and defeat as many as you can before entering the cave.

On entering the cave, head straight and start climbing the rock structure present on the right with yellow leaves on it. Once at its peak, you’ll spot a Gorvid egg heavily guarded by enemies. Defeat them to claim the egg.
Travel back to Tedford’s location to hand her the Gorvid egg. Doing this will complete the Walking On Eggshells quest for you. You’ll gain the following rewards from this quest:
- 2790 XP
- Boarst Blaster
