Once Human Sands of Clarity Explained: How To Get, Best Farming Spots, & More

The new Once Human update brings some new scenarios and new items to collect within them. Sands of Clarity is one of the newer items added to the Endless Dream scenario, and you will require it to activate Nightmare Tubes and locate the boss for the level. But Sands of Clarity can be a bit difficult to find, as you need to locate Wakeful Clocks and collect this item from it. This guide will explain how to farm Sands of Clarity in Once Human.

How to Get Sands of Clarity in Once Human

To find Sands of Clarity, check your map for new marked purple areas. When you head over to these locations, you will notice a large purple wall covering a certain area. You need to enter these areas, called Dream Zones, and hunt around for Wakeful Clocks.

There are two variants of Wakeful Clocks to find, you can find them lying on the floor or standing upright. The ones on the floor can be easily mined by stepping close to them and interacting with them. The ones standing upright, however, can be reached if you have any consumables that offer Spring Legs or Double Jump.

Another way to get Sands of Clarity is to locate Trace Box enemies and defeat them. These enemy types are usually invisible, and the only way to locate them is to check the ground for a trail of light. If the light stops at a particular area, you can use your scope to check whether the crosshairs turn color or not. Trace Boxes are a bit harder to find, so you are better off farming Sands of Clarity from Wakeful Clocks instead.

How to Use Sands of Clarity

Sands of Clarity are required in activating Nightmare Tubes scattered across the Dream Zone. Nightmare Tubes will look like stacks of TVs on top of one another, just go close to it and interact with it to deposit the required amount of Sands of Clarity. You can check how much is needed at the bottom of the Nightmare Tube menu, then move the slider to deposit the required item. Doing so will spawn a mini boss that you can defeat for some rewards.

While trying to farm Sands of Clarity, try to check for areas that are densely populated with Dream Zones. That way, it gets easier and quicker for you to navigate between these zones to find Sands of Clarity. The northern area of the map is where you can find Dream Zones more frequently, especially southeast of Blackfell.

There are two triangular areas nearby that will offer tons of Wakeful Clock to farm and get Sands of Clarity. Another place you can check out is near the Giant’s Stairs Teleportation Tower (3351, 162). There are three Dream Zones lying across each other, which makes it easier to navigate and locate all the Wakeful Clocks for farming.

Tips to Farm Sands of Clarity

There are a couple of consumables that you can have that will increase the yield of Sands of Clarity while mining it from the Wakeful Clock.

    • Canned Seafood in Oil offers the Stroke of Luck effect, which can increase the yield bonus while mining or logging.
    • Placing a campsite near the Dream Zone entrance is a great way to have a spawn point if things start getting difficult. Campsites within Dream Zones will not act as spawn points.
    • Always keep an eye on the timer below the health bar while inside the Dream Zone. Once the timer hits zero, your character can start losing HP. Exit the zone before that happens.
    • If you wish to stay within the Zone for longer, you can craft and consume the Reality Resitol to reset any accumulated confusion.
