Yes, you can carry over your save data to the main game. On the main menu, select Load Demo Save Data to access your latest demo save from the new Save menu.

The process for loading the demo save files for Steam Deck remains the same as for console and PC, but some players couldn’t load them on their device.

If you own the following games and have their respective save data in your system, click on the Promotion option at the bottom right corner of the Octopath Traveler 0 main menu to automatically link all your game saves.

To claim your freebies, complete the prologue and speak to a bartender while not having any active quests.
The bartender can be from any city within the game. When the dialog options appear, select the Claim Bonuses option. You will get a list of all the bonus items. Select each one to get them.
How to Transfer Save Data Between Devices
Save data from previous-gen consoles and devices can be transferred to current-gen systems, but not vice versa. You need to have the save data in your respective console for it to work, and not stored on Cloud storage.
For example, if you own the demo save for the Switch but wish to play on Switch 2, you can transfer your data. That is, provided you are using the physical Switch copy of the game and not the copy meant for Switch 2.
Steam players should ensure that the account used to purchase the game is the same as the one used to play the demo for the transfers to take place.
