Most players in Octopath Traveler 0 will have a moment, looking at their inventory and debating who deserves the last Physical Nut or Critical Nut in their party. If you aren’t aware, Nuts are used to improve your party member’s stats.
During my journey through Orsterra, I found myself in this pickle for most of my playtime, until I reached the mysterious fog-riddled region of Agapea. What ensued after solved the predicament I was in.
If you’re someone who’s struggling to round out every party member’s stats, since you’re feeding every hard-earned Nut to the Chosen One, I’ve got you covered. I’ve given all the known details of how to get infinite Enhancement Nut Seeds, which yield a random Nut in Octopath Traveler 0.
Start “The Hidden Isle” Side Story
During Bestower of All’s eighth Chapter, at Journey’s End, you and your party members will travel to the Skies of Vanity at the Gate of Orsa, the final zone out of the three in Octopath Traveler 0’s concluding Dungeon. Explore the region as usual until you reach the northwest corner of this area.
At the rightward edge, you’ll find Signa’s journal titled “A Priestess’ Journal” in this location. What confused me was that this journal looked like a small pebble on the ground, which could cause multiple players to ignore it. You’d think they’d put an indicator to highlight it, but that’s not the case.
Picking up this journal and reading it will start “The Hidden Isle” Side Story in Octopath Traveler 0. This is the first step towards unlocking the hidden region of Agapea.
Unlock the Region of Agapea
Return to the Isle of Orsa in the Coastlands Region after collecting Signa’s journal from the Skies of Vanity. Head straight through the Altar, then drop down to the Underground Altar to trigger a cutscene, which involves the Chosen One and the four Shrine Maidens.
You’ll have the pleasure of meeting Pathos the Thumb, Apatheia the Ring Finger, Theona the Pointer Finger and Philia the Middle Finger a.k.a the Shrine Maidens. They’ll lift the mist around the island as a final prayer and instruct you to go there.
After a momentous farewell, the cutscene will end, and your next objective is to reach the hidden island of Agapea in the Middlesea in Octopath Traveler 0.
Reach Agapea and Obtain the Enhancement Nut Seed
Take the boat from the Isle of Orsa on the Middlesea in the Coastlands Region, and head directly left or west from the Isle. You’ll notice that the mist has truly disappeared, giving you access to Agapea in Octopath Traveler 0.
The first NPC you’ll meet is an adorable cat named Meowstesis of the Pawbeans, and you need the Animal Whisperer Skill to perform an Inquire on them. After a successful inquiry, you’ll receive the required Collection Point Info to obtain the Enhancement Nut Seed.
The kitty also possesses a Kitty Cape and a Strange Key, with the latter tied to the rebuilding project back at Wishvale. However, that’s not important to get the Enhancement Nut Seed. All you needed was the Collection Point Info.
Climb down the flight of stairs below Meowstesis of the Pawbeans to find one Enhancement Nut Seed. This Seed yields a harvest of a random Nut, which is pretty busted, so naturally, I assumed this was a one-and-done item, but thankfully, I was wrong.
Plant the Enhancement Nut Seed in the Field Slots and Harvest
Next thing to do in Octopath Traveler 0 is some cultivating in Wishvale to get this exploit going. So, plant the Enhancement Seed into all six Field Slots by interacting with Basil, then wait for it to be harvested.
Return to the Seeds after some time to successfully harvest them. Each Seed will yield a different Nut, ranging from Critical Nut to Tough Nut, Resistant Nut and the remaining ones. The best part is that these Seeds harvest the Nuts in pairs, so you’ll obtain two random Nuts with each harvest.
Once you’ve harvested every Seed, replant them in the Field Slots and repeat the entire process. You can plant the Enhancement Nut Seed endlessly and obtain all the required Nuts to improve your party members’ stats in Octopath Traveler 0.
With this farm, you’ll be prepared to wipe the floor with every enemy throughout the entirety of Orsterra in Octopath Traveler 0.
