Most of the NPCs in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered require some form of assistance from you. But most of them will reward you handsomely, so it is worth picking up these quests as you venture around the lands. One such quest is the Ahdarji’s Heirloom quest, and we have all the details on this one right here.

Head over to Bravil and speak to S’Krivva, your new Doyen as part of the Thieves Guild. They will tell you about a missing ring, and you need to locate its whereabouts. You need to help out a Khajiit named Ahdarji on behalf of S’Krivva to find the ring. Before you head out, make sure that you have a lockpick on you to give away. After that, head over to The Three Sisters’ Inn in Leyawiin to find Ahdarji dining there in the evenings. You can also visit the Five Claws Lodge during midday to find her there as well.

She will tell you to find Amusei and get the ring back from him in any way. Speak to the beggars around to find out that Amusei has been arrested for theft, so head over to the prison and speak to him in the prison basement. He will tell you that the ring is in the possession of Alessia Caro, who is the actual owner of the ring. You now need to find a way to steal it from her and return it to Ahdarji.

Make your way back to Ahdarji to report your findings, and she will compel you to steal the ring back for a handsome reward. Since you don’t get any other hints at this point, you should talk to or bribe the beggars around for more information. You need to locate Hlidara Mothril, since she is Alessia’s handmaiden. Head over to Castle Leyawiin and speak to the Count and other members of the castle to find out about Hlidara’s whereabouts. You can also ask about Alessia as well and learn more about the Countess.

Once you find Hlidara, make sure your disposition with her is above 70 to get an accurate description of the Countess’ activities. She will tell you that the Countess will take off her ring during a bath and before going to bed, and she usually stores the ring in a jewelry box in her bedroom. Hlidara will also give you a tip about a secret passage that will lead you to the bedroom. To steal the ring, follow the steps below.

    • First, wait till it is past midnight, then head down to the basement of the castle.
    • Be careful of guards patrolling the outside and inside of the castle and try to sneak past at all times.
    • You can find the basement door on the right side of the main hall.
    • Once inside the basement, head south to find an outline of a door on the wall.
    • The lever for the door is inside the barrel on the left, pull it to reveal a pathway ahead.
    • Follow the path towards the Wooden Door to the Secret Room, which you need to lockpick using a spell or a lockpick item.
    • Find a flight of stairs leading down towards the Lord’s Manor Private Quarters, and you have to lockpick the door here too.
    • Once inside, pull the lever on the wall to enter the doorway ahead, then head up the stairs to the north to find another door to lockpick.
    • You will be inside the Countess’ room, sneak up to her bedside table and lockpick her jewelry box to retrieve the ring.

For your efforts in returning the ring, you will receive 200 Gold each from Ahdarji and S’Krivva, as well as an increase in your rank to Prowler. If you haven’t joined the Thieves Guild in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, you can check out our How To Join The Thieves Guild In Oblivion Remastered  guide to know more.
