Just like My Summer Car, the prequel to My Winter Car, you’re going to have issues with the car that you begin the game using. The most frequent one is your car not starting, which tends to be from the battery dying. The real problem is the low temperature, which is the biggest difference overall between MSC and MWC.
Keep Your Battery Alive
The reason your battery is dying is likely because your car is getting too cold. This took me too long to notice, but your car is hooked up to a box when you first see it. Keeping your car plugged in when you aren’t going to be using it for long periods of time is the primary way to stop your car battery from dying. As such, make sure you plug it back in when you return to your apartment.

Since the temperature is the biggest difference in My Winter Car, the battery dying from the cold is unexpected when you first play. You’ll also need to deal with your windows being constantly frosted, which you can address by turning on the window heater in your car using the knob in the center that would be where you expect the radio knob to be.
When the window heater is on, you can control its temperature using the slider beneath it. Then, you’ll have an easier time scraping your windows with the help of the heat.

Replacing Your Battery
Because this is the sequel to My Summer Car, you’re going to end up having your battery die at some point. When that happens, you’ll need to head down to PSK for a new one. From your apartment, take a left out of the parking lot, then take a left at Pub Nappo. The road will lead you right to PSK.

Inside PSK, you can buy a battery and a few other car-related items, such as oil. However, PSK is also a valuable stop to pick up food and drink. It’s also the post office, although I haven’t needed to use it for that function yet.
Then, head back to your apartment, open the hood of your car, and swap out the old battery for the new one. Since you’re going to end up needing money for fuel, food, and car parts, you want to get a source of income as early as possible. Luckily, the advert delivery job can be started right when you launch My Winter Car, and then you can use the money to replace your dying batteries.
