My Winter Car, the sequel to My Summer Car, has entered Early Access. The result is a buggy and confusing experience. When it came to even starting the advert delivery job, I had to restart the game twice, finally getting the job to properly start on the third try. However, since this job is a fast and easy way to get some money early in the game, you’re better off restarting for the sake of getting the job.
Starting the Advert Delivery Job

To begin the job, you need to pick up the phone that’s by your front door and dial 08231206. You can find this number on the notice board inside PSK, but you don’t need to see it in-game to dial and use it.
Ideally, a man should answer the phone, at which point you wait until he eventually hangs up on you. I had issues getting anything other than an unending dial tone. I kept hanging up and trying again, but it wasn’t until I logged out and started a new game that I was able to actually get the job to start.
After some time passes, you should receive a stack of adverts on your doorstep. I called on Monday morning, and it took until Tuesday for the stack to appear. So, if you have some errands to do, such as making a run to PSK for supplies, you might as well head out to pass time.
Completing the Job and Collecting Payment
To actually do the job, grab the stack of adverts and head to the mailboxes for your apartment complex first, as it’s the easiest and first set you’ll get to. This part is a bit annoying, but you need to set down the pile of adverts, then take one sheet from the top and place it in each mailbox.
From here, you just go around using the main road and put as many adverts in mailboxes as you can. Your payment changes depending on how many people you gave ads to, so going around to more mailboxes is worth the time and effort.
As for payment, the money should be automatically added to your card on Friday, which is your payday. If it isn’t, then I suggest the age-old, tried and tested method of logging out and logging back in. Otherwise, you can go to PSK and interact with the ATM to see your advert job payment.
While the advert delivery job is frustrating due to the bugs you might encounter, you’ll need at least some way to make money so that you can buy car parts, fuel, food, and beer. Yes, beer is now a necessity because you’ll die if your Problem Meter maxes out, and drinking beer lowers it in My Winter Car, which is different from the meters in My Summer Car.
