Monster Hunter Wilds – How To Get The New Talismans

The latest update for Monster Hunter Wilds now introduces a new farming method to get new Talismans. This involves hunting down monsters of a certain kind and obtaining them through RNG. But there are some methods that will speed up the process, and this guide will explain how to get Talismans in Monster Hunter Wilds.

Hunting down 9-Star Monsters will drop Glowing Stones, which are then converted into Talismans. If you have any Lucky Vouchers on you, that too will drop Glowing Stones as a random reward. Another way to get Talismans is to head over to the Melding Pot at Suja, Peaks of Accord and use the Talisman Melding option. This turns talismans that you don’t need into a new talisman. This requires Silver Talisman Tickets to get a discount and start the talisman melding process.

When it comes to locating 9-Star monsters, the higher the fight difficulty, the more you are guaranteed to get a Glowing Stone drop. But, there is a risk of failure, which ends up in you losing the rewards. The best way to attack 9-Star monsters is to hunt them at lower difficulties. This might be a grind, since obtaining Glowing Stones this way is a bit rarer, but you are guaranteed to defeat them and claim the rewards.

The monsters that drop 1 stack of Glowing Stones are:

    • Uth Duna
    • Rey Dau
    • Arkveld
    • Nu Udra
    • Mizutsune

The above monsters appear in lower difficulties, making it easier to defeat them and get the Glowing Stone drop. But, if you are looking for a 2 stack of Glowing Stone, then you need to look out for the following monsters.

    • Seregios
    • Jin Dahaad
    • Gore Magala
    • Lagiacrus

Instead of running around trying to find these monster spawns, they are now available to hunt in the Wounded Hollow and The Arena. Not all monsters are available here, but the ones you do find will have a 1 or 2 stack drop of Glowing Stones. After completing a 9-star quest, all your accumulated Glowing Stones will be appraised automatically into a random Talisman.

    How to Use Talisman Melding

The Melding Pot in Suja now offers a new function, interact with the Melder and choose the Talisman Melding option. Select the Appraised Talisman option, then select any random Talisman from your inventory to meld into a new one. The new Talisman that you get will be randomized as well, so you can’t always claim the one you want.

While selecting a random appraisal talisman to meld, you would notice each talisman has a different point. There are 4 rarities of talisman, and each of them offer varying points. Check out the table below to know what talisman offers what type of point.

    RarityPointsTalisman Type
    51 pointsUnknown Charm
    63 pointsHistorical Charm
    76 pointsSecret Charm
    810 pointsGolden Age Charm

If you choose the Use Items option from the Talisman Melding menu instead, you get to use a special item called Silver Talisman Tickets. Using the Ticket will give you 10x Glowing Stones of Rarity 7, and 10x random Secret Charms of Rarity 7 and below. Take them to the Appraisal section to redeem new Talismans.

One thing that you should keep in mind is any Talisman you create through either of the above methods cannot be rerolled. Once a Talisman is created, the game saves automatically, locking you out from trying again. The only way to get the Talisman you want is to forage for Glowing Stones and create as many charms as possible.
