Another holiday season means another holiday-themed drop in Limbus Company, this time in the form of a Rudolf-themed R-Corp Rodion ID.
As the third Reindeer R-Corp ID added to Limbus, her kit largely follows the blend of Charge/Sinking introduced by Hong Lu and Ishmael.
For Rodion, especially, Sinking and Charge are niches already covered by previous IDs. To be worth pulling for, the new Reindeer Rodion will need to bring some significant power to either team that could use her. Let’s see if that’s the case.
R-Corp Rodion’s Kit
Rodion’s overall kit is fairly basic, with no enhanced skills or overly gimmicky mechanics. She’s overall a standard Charge unit with decent Sinking output.
She can also easily guarantee charge buildup thanks to her passive and her skill 1 and 2 granting her charge even on clash loss.
Energy Strike

Rodion’s skill 1 is a 2 coin blunt skill that deals more damage based on her Charge, also gaining coin power at certain Charge thresholds.
Both coins have two On Hit effects, inflicting Sinking and generating Charge Count for Rodion. If she loses the clash, she inflicts Sinking on herself and gains a fraction of the Charge Count.
A very standard Charge skill 1, starting off weak before building up to decent damage. Also acts as a fairly consistent Charge builder for Rodion.
Concentration

Rodion’s skill 2 is also a 2 coin blunt skill, dealing additive damage for every point of Charge she has and increasing coin power based on her Charge Count. Under a threshold set by her uptie, Rodion gains Charge count on the second hit.
If she’s above that threshold, Rodion instead consumes Charge Count to inflict a Blunt Damage Fragility to the enemy.
All of Rodion’s skills are blunt, as are most of the other R-Corp identities, making this a great damage amp in an R-Corp team.
Mind Whip

Rodion’s Skill 3 is a 4 coin blunt skill that also deals more damage based on her individual Charge. Within a certain Charge Count range, Rodion gains Sinking and Charge Count.
Within this range, the attack also becomes indiscriminate, an Unfocused Volley, and gains Attack Weight. These effects are avoided if Rodion is above a Charge threshold.
If Rodion is above a higher Charge Count, she consumes all her Charge Count to gain coin power and deal additional damage for every excess Charge Count above the threshold.
On a successful attack, each of the four coins inflict Sinking and raise the Stagger Threshold of the enemy by a portion of the damage dealt.
Rodion’s skill 3 follows the Reindeer trend of potentially hurting the party if improperly used in exchange for serious damage on a proper Charge dump.
Simply make sure you’re above the threshold (or you don’t care about your other units) and you’re bound to stagger whoever you nail.
Defensive Skill – Energy Condensation
For her block, Rodion uses a simple single coin that gains Base Power based on Charge Count while building Charge Count itself. Not stellar, since Skill 1 also builds Charge, but if it’s not available and Rodion’s low on charge, it can work.
Passive – Jolly Antlers

Rodion shares the first portion of her combat passive with Hong Lu, gaining Charge whenever she consumes enough Charge Count during a fight.
Where Rodion splits is the rest, where if she applies Sinking to an enemy without Sinking, Rodion applies Sinking to herself and multiplies the amount of Sinking applied to the enemy on a ratio based on her uptie. While under a health threshold, Rodion also gains Final Power on her base attack skills.
The second section of her passive makes her potent at applying Sinking, but is highly dependent on her being the first to do so. Without anything to speed her up, other members of a Sinking team can get their attacks off first, completely curbing her utility.
Support Passive – Carol of Dying Comrades
When her Support Passive activates, the ally with the lowest SP deals more damage if they consume Charge and inflict Sinking. Simple, but very effective for other Reindeer units.
Is Reindeer Worth the Slot?

The major issue R-Corp Rodion faces it out of her control, she’s simply outclassed in the Sinking department. For a Sinking team, Knight of Despair Rodion is better in every way, while also utilizing her own unique Charge mechanic.
For Charge teams, however, Reindeer Rodion can be useful, benefiting the other Reindeers while holding her own. The issue is that she doesn’t do anything well enough to demand pulling for. If you really want a Sinking Rodion ID, wait until the next Walpurgisnacht and dispense a KoD.
Overall, if you really want a Rodion ID for your Charge team while you’re filling it out, R-Corp Rodion isn’t the worst pick. If you have your main 7 ready, wait until a stronger ID comes out.
Reindeer Rodion doesn’t do enough to earn the slot for most players, so saving your Lunacy for future banners will pan out better in the long run, especially with the strength Walpurgisnacht IDs have been packing.
