While in Vatican City, there are multiple missions that you can do that allow you to explore some strange mysteries of this place. From finding a missing cat to helping Antonio out, there’s a wide variety of quests that happen here.

One such mission is the “Lost Artifacts of Europe”, where you’ll have to search for some European artifacts hidden all over Vatican City. Locating the European artifacts is a bit harder than the rest of the collectibles. You can buy Ernesto’s Exploration Book to know about the spots, but it won’t tell you how to get there. Here’s a guide to finding the locations of all Lost European artifacts.

There are a total of 5 Lost Artifacts Of Europe for you to collect:

    • Parade Helmet
    • Bronze Mirror
    • Venus Figurine
    • Golden Xiphos
    • Via De Belvedere

Lets see how to get each of these one by one

Parade Helmet | Tower of Nicholas V

You might be familiar with this place if you’ve completed missions here. Instead of going down towards the tomb, you’ll have to go up. Once you enter the tower, take a left then go towards the church area. Go through the dark stone door and climb up using the stairs on the left. You’ll have to make some long jumps here, so be alert and don’t fall down the stairs. At the end of these curved stairs, you’ll find a skeleton with a Parade Helmet near it.

Bronze Mirror | Tower of Nicholas V Sewers

Under the building that you previously went into, there’ll be a sewer that you can explore. Keep in mind that this area will be locked if you haven’t completed “A Mad Priest” Fieldwork. Go into the Tower and take a right, then go down the stairs. You’ll find yourself in a dark sewer. Cross the bridge-like structure and in front of you will be a loose brick wall that you’ll have to break. Go a bit left to see a sledgehammer lying on the ground. Pick it up and break down the loose brick wall. This will reveal a pathway that will lead to the Bronze Mirror. It will be an artifact from the British Iron Age.

    Venus Figurine | Borgia Tower

To be able to explore the Borgia tower, you’ll have to complete the Nun in Trouble Fieldwork. Enter the tower and look for a ladder leading up to a hidden area. Once you’re at the top, go straight then take a right to reach another floor. Take a right again, go through the door, and use the stairs. At the end of the stairs, there will be a room. Go through the left doorway and into the broken wall. At the end of this secret area, there will be some skeletons and a Venus figurine carved during the European Upper Paleolithic.

    Golden Xiphos | Borgia Courtyard

For this Artifact, go to the Sistine Chapel which is inside the Borgia Courtyard. Enter the place and go up to the first painting on the left. It will be upside down and once you straighten it up, you’ll see that it moves aside to reveal a hidden space. In this space, you will find the Golden Xiphos, a shortsword dating back to the 5th Century BC made by the Spartans. It has come to Vatican City from Ancient Greece.

A Drinking Horn | Via Di Belvedere

This mission also needs completion of the Nun in Trouble Fieldwork for you to be able to access all the areas. You’ll need to go to the room which is near the Vatican’s garden. This area lies close to the pharmacy. On the left side of the room will be a black safe that you have to unlock. Use the code 7171 (written on the table near the chest) to unlock it and get the Drinking Horn dating all the way back to the 9th century AD. It belongs to a Swedish Viking King near Uppsala.
