With each region you unlock in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, you will find it more challenging to clear them and move to the next region. Each place has a different set of puzzles to solve, and a few of them are confusing. During the Idol of Ra quest in Gizeh, the final part of the quest will take you to the Cave of Darkness. There is a quick puzzle to solve here, after which you get to meet the final boss of the level. How To Complete The Cave of Darkness In Indiana Jones And The Great Circle
The final part of the Idol of Ra questline will have you venturing through the Cave of Darkness. You will reach this location after solving the Light Chamber puzzle prior to this. Once you reach the cave, you will spot three large plates on the floor. One of the plates will be right in front of you as you enter, stepping on it to start the puzzle. Find the other two plates and step on them too.
After stepping on all the plates, the statue in the middle of the room will light up, helping you see around. Interact with it and a short cutscene will play out, where you will come face to face with the Giant. The cave will grow dark again, your task here is to light the cave again by stepping on all the plates, with the added wrinkle that this time around, you also need to avoid being detected by the Giant.
How To Beat The Giant In Cave Of Darkness
Crouch down and carefully navigate around the area to find all three plates and step on them again. You can use your lighter as the source of light, but ensure that you don’t make any noise that will draw the Giant toward your direction. If you find the Giant racing towards you, just step away from the location while crouching and don’t make any more sound. Eventually, the Giant will be confused and will leave the area.
After all three plates are reactivated, find a weapon on the floor of the cave or use your gun to kill the Giant. You can sneak up behind him and hit him when his back is turned away from you, then crouch down and slowly back away so he doesn’t come after you. You might have to repeat this step several times if you are using a melee weapon, but with a gun, you can quickly kill him with a few shots.
Now that you are rid of the Giant, you can collect the Guardian Pendant from his corpse to complete the rest of the questline. But before you leave Gizeh, you can take a look around and collect some items like All 27 Gizeh Adventure Books or All Exploration Books in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
