There is no shortage of puzzles to solve once you start exploring the other regions of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. There are several unique puzzles that need solving as part of the main story quest. But you will also encounter some while completing all the side quests. Once you reach the Himalayas during ‘A Harsh Climb’ main story quest, you will encounter some quick puzzles to solve within the captain’s cabin.
One of these has you figuring out how to decipher the Captain’s Code to help you advance further into the quest, and getting that is exactly what this guide helps you out on. So let’s get started on cracking the Captain’s Cipher puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
Captain’s Cipher Puzzle Location Indiana Jones & The Great Circle
You can find the puzzle room as you keep exploring the upper deck of the Captain’s Cabin. You will reach this area as part of the main story quest. During your exploration, you will come across a room with several dead Nazis on the table and a locked door ahead. You need to figure out the door code to gain access to the rooms ahead.
How To Solve The Captain’s Cipher Puzzle
Solving the Captin’s Cipher Puzzle has three parts to it:
First, get the notepad on the table with the words “JÖGM” on it.
Next, make your way to the cipher box near the locked door. You will spot several cipher wheels strewn around. Some are on the floor, while some are on the table. You need to pick them up, investigate them, then place them in the correct order. The solution to this is to keep the word JÖGM in mind, then pick up and investigate each of the reels. If you find the letter J in any of the reels, put them in the leftmost slot of the cipher box. The next reel should have the letter O in them, put that in the slot next to the reel with the J. Continue doing this to the reels containing the letters G and M.
After that, close the cipher box and rotate the reels till it spells out JÖGM. The letters should fall on the arrows pointing at them on the left side of the reel. Once you have arranged the letters, check out the word that forms below the word JÖGM. You will find that the word is BLUT.
For the next part of the puzzle, check out the clipboards beside the cipher box and the one on the table with the dead Nazis to find the word BLUT in it. Once you find it, note down the code next to the word.
The code to unlock the Captain’s Cabin door is 3666. Input the code to open the door and continue with the rest of the questline.
