While you can beat the game with the starting weapon, a broomstick, and even get a hidden achievement for it, if you want to hit hard, then you need to unlock heavy-hitting weapons. The game features swords, long swords, spears, and gauntlets as melee weapons to make your gameplay more engaging. You will also have a variety of guns to make the game feel fresh every run. Here is how to unlock new weapons, guns, and armors in Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault.

    Weapon and Armor Unlock

Unlocking weapons and armor in Moonlighter 2 requires a recipe, the right materials, and gold. The recipe unlocks on finishing quests for the blacksmith ANDREI, located right of the Merchant’s house. The materials typically drop on defeating bosses. Once you have both along with the required gold, you can approach Andrei to craft that specific weapon for you.

Ultimate Short Sword:Your special finisher damage raises to 20% percent. Defeating an enemy will help you gain infinite ammo for 3 seconds.
Ray Axe (Special)Special finisher can be performed after Attack Finisher, dealing 20% damage.

Ray Axe is given to you by Julien before starting Souls Forever Lost II, which has you finding lost prince Monte in the Howling Harbor.

Aetherium Heart (Special)Your Attack refills Sharpness, but your Special attack will consume it. Your Special attack now deals 50% amount of damage per Sharpness level.

Complete “The Souls Forever Lost” quest by Julien to obtain the Aetherium Heart. Here, you must defeat Senda and recover the King’s left mask material.

Heartbeat Hunter Gauntlets (Special)In Berserk mode, take double damage but deal 40% damage.

Heartbeat Hunter Gauntlets unlock after you complete the quest “A hidden treasure in the Gallery”. You will find a hidden route in the miniboss room in the Gallery area.

The Ultimate version of every weapon listed here unlocks after completing the The Endless Vault IV quest. This requires you to generate 200,000 Gold by selling relics in the shop. Here, the Vault will hand you a hammer, which will be given to the blacksmith to make better pieces of weapons.

All Armor List in Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault:

Defeating a miniboss in Kalina, The Gallery, and Aeolia will unlock new armors in the game.

    #1. Scarabastion

Effect: The armor can be found in Kalina, Day Realm, the first dungeon in the game.

Take no damage from the first two hits from a Boss at the end of the dungeon. Upgrading it will raise the amount to three hits and more with future upgrades.

    #2. Quincy, the Smart Coat

Effect: If your health is above 80% then you will deal 20% damage.

Hands down, one of my favorite armor set, as long as you keep your health at a higher percentage, you deal more damage. Upgrading the armor lowers the entry barrier; you will be able to deal more damage even at 50% of your HP.

    #3. Zephyr Scales

Effect: Defeating a miniboss creates a perk pedestal (Common type).

If you are looking for an extra perk on your journey, then this armor is the best. You will get a perk after defeating any miniboss you encounter in your dungeon (Aeolia) run. The default set of Zephyr Scales will only spawn a Common variety of perk pedestal; further upgrades will help spawn Epic to Legendary types.

    #4. Nou’s Gift

Effect: 2+ relic quality found or more, depending on clearing the room without taking any damage.

This armor unlocks after completing the Weapon Mastery quest, where you have to complete a single dungeon with a broom as your primary melee weapon. You can use guns, too, but you need to carry a broom as the melee weapon. This also unlocks the achievement: Humble Hero.

How to Unlock New Guns in Moonlighter 2

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault Guns Selection Screen

To unlock new guns. You need to talk to Babyl, located near the large vault, east of the merchant’s place. Just like the blacksmith, Babyl will also give you quests that you need to complete to unlock new guns in the store. Same as Blacksmith, after you complete his quests, you will see the weapon appearing in his store.

All Guns in Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault

    #1. Blob Gun

The default weapon in the game will do decent damage to enemies. You can further upgrade the gun at Babyl for Gold and certain materials. The requirement will change as you continue to upgrade the weapon.

    #2. Blo-Beam

This gun is basically a laser weapon that fires lasers, but requires a charge before firing. The weapon deals a great amount of damage, but charging can be a bit annoying. Once you upgrade it, the charge time will be reduced, and the damage dealt will be phenomenal.

    #3. BlO-Blaster

It has great firepower, but not so much when it comes to fire rate. So make sure every shot counts before pulling the trigger. You must complete “A hidden treasure in the Aeolia!” to obtain this gun.

That’s it, after unlocking the armor or weapons, you can equip them via inventory to start using them in the game. Make sure to choose the armor that fits your playstyle before starting to upgrade it, or you will waste plenty of resources.
